Clancy trial question on “appreciating the wrongfulness”

Lindsay clancy was a nurse. She knew it was illegal to dr shop to acquire excessive amounts of prescription narcotics. That is "voluntary intoxication" under the law, which should completely nullify an insanity plea. This prosecutor was a retard

Thank goodness one man stood for the children.

Assign the next trial to a new prosecutor and have at it!

I am in no way trying to defend the Mass system and sure as hell not defending that bitch Clancy.
But you do have to present some minimal degree of evidence that the defendant is incapable of forming an intent (in the legal sense) to commit murder before the burden shifts to prosecution.
So the initial burden is still on defendant, even if it is light, to show insanity.

I do have an appreciation for the fact that there are individuals who are incapable of understanding right from wrong. This is simply just not the case here. This woman had a job, drove to work everyday, was raising her children (before she decided to kill them...1 at a time...)
She obviously understands she has to be at work on time, if not...consequences...she drives to work every day, stops at red lights and stops signs...consequences..she was 100% functional. She knew what she was doing. Now lets replace her kids and say she killed someone else's kids, or her neighbor or whoever else..if that were the case it wouldnt have made the news and this would be open and shut.

The insane part about all of this are the soul-less pieces of shite who can even remotely try to justify the actions of this psycopath. I mean are we really , honestly wanting to know if a person murders their 3 children, if we should question their ability to appreciate the wrongfulness of their actions? This was a good tactic used by a good defense atty who faced a weak prosecuter, now the dregs of society have another national hero to help them embrace their own shitty lives.
