In an unusual move, President Trump has reportedly been handing out his cellphone number to world leaders and requesting them to call him directly, according to the Associated Press. If proven true, the act would breach diplomatic protocol, further raising concerns about the commander-in-chief's communications security

Like using unsecured Blackberry phones and a server in a bathroom basement?

How is this an issue again? Can the President of the United States of America not give his cell phone number out? When the frick did this happen?

OMG! Like the SOS having a private server in a bathroom closet and that she "wiped clean like with a rag" or something?
The Horror.

I've never seen so many accusations of breaking the law

Not sure how this would be illegal

Curious what laws will be "broken" tomorrow

Trump gave Merkel his cell number but warned her about "drunk dialing".

I mean, come on, do they think he is trying to be secretive? Trump already knows that his calls would be listened to by the intelligence agencies. They did it throughout the campaign, why wouldn't they continue now?

So none of these leaks occurred while Trump was over seas... Was the group that traveled with him 100% trust worthy and stuff is only leaking out now that the trip is over and stuff is being processed for record keeping?
Were the leakers scared shitless and are only running to their contacts now that they can leak in person? Either way, Trump needs to transfer any career WH personal to other positions and bring in new people.

Honestly I'd do the same thing if the transcript of the call made on the White House landline was going directly to the New York Times.

Probably trying to dodge records requirements, hopefully we don't have to ask a foreign power to hack his phone to get transcripts.

I guess if you use a cell phone, you can walk around the room and you don't have to put your feet on the desk...

And that would be treason.
