Cindy Hyde Hyphenated Smith video leaked "loves debates"

But won't debate Chris McDaniel. Typical DC Rino politician who listens to her 'political team'.
Says debating him is like "giving him a 200K dollar contribution to his campaign because he doesn't have enough money for airtime".

McDaniel has a bigger grass roots then her reason she is scared..

Cindy is part of the Thad Cochran RINO establishment. She was a life long Democrat until recently. Another swamp creature that is just a cog in the DC machine.

Does anybody know if she voted for Trump in 2016? I know Haley Barbour didn't. I cant find much on the interwebs about her vote.

She claims to be a big Trump Supporter now and Trump endorsed her and came to MS and had a campaign rally for her which was the event where he put Ballsy Ford on blast. I don’t trust any of that bunch that had anything to do with Cochran and his RINO ways.

Well he was prob a democrat for the business handouts

Wasn't Regan the original #walkaway? He was a card carrying union member (screen actors guild).

In the video in the link, she says multiple times that she didn't vote for Hillary; however, she never says in those rebuttals that she voted for President Trump. Gonna have to draw conclusions based on that.
Even if she turned Republican in 2010, how are you not going to vote for Trump unless you are lock step with the Rinos? Gov Bryant really screwed the pooch with this 'appointment'.

She's right. Sometimes the right thing to do is to not debate. Trump is teaching the Republicans how to win.

This is a serious race. If she's shying away because she might get her arse handed to her, sure, but why not debate and TRY to change my mind? And at the least, get up there and debate Espy too, shouldn't be that hard to best him. It's kind of shifty. We don't know much about her. I'd like to hear the ideas of both R candidates.

Yes it is. And if you vote for Chris McDaniel, you might as well be voting for Espy. Chris McDaniel is a power-hungry clown.
CHS is in line with the Trump administration. She wouldn't have gotten his support had she not been, and Phil Bryant would never have appointed her if he didn't think she would not be.
Anyone thinking about voting for McDaniel would be wise to remember the last Alabama Senate special election. Republicans put zealot Roy Moore in the general election against Democrat Doug Jones. Doug Jones is now Senator-which caused problems in this last Supreme Court confirmation battle, and the spectacle would have been much-lessened had the Republicans had another vote on which they could count.
Luther Strange would have won the election against Jones walking away.

I can make the same argument: Cindy Hyde Smith is a power-hungry clown. There's no factual basis for it, just my opinion.
McDaniel is the true conservative in this race. Hyde-Smith turned Republican in 2010. I'm voting principle here and not going with the Democrat-lite.

So you would potentially give up a Senate majority, allow Democrats to block the rest of Trump's judicial nominees and all proposed Republican legislation, to attempt to put Chris McDaniel in the Senate? And the alternative is to keep someone in the Senate who has supported 100% everything that President Trump has done?
Makes sense.
Fine. Throw away your vote. Put Espy in the Senate. Pat yourself on the back when the next 2 or 4 or 6 years brings deadlock in Washington, again, and instead of gaining 1 or 2 more seats on the Supreme Court for conservatives, we gain 0. But, you voted for McDaniel-so you can sleep warm and snug at night.
McDaniel's clowns went into a nursing home to take pictures of Thad Cochran's bed ridden wife in order to use it against Cochran. Then when they got caught, McDaniel disowned them. That should tell you most of what you need to know about McDaniel and his followers.

This thread is stupid.
If you want a republican from Mississippi in the senate helping Donald Trump, vote for Hyde-Smith.
Chris McDaniel is a loser that could make it possible for a democrat to win in that state. He's political herpes that needs to go away.

Donald Trump really needs to do a better job of making it clear to his supporters that the Roy Moore debacle cannot be ever allowed to happen and purity tests like McDaniel over Hyde-Smith is exactly what will help a democrat win a seat they otherwise had no chance of winning.
Trump learned this lesson from Roy Moore so well that he's done everything he could to steer the Roy Moores and Chris McDaniels away from house and senate races all over the country including Blankenship in West Virginia and Tarkanainian in Nevada.

Trump has shocked the Republican party out of complacency, is teaching them how to win, and is holding their feet to the fire. Any other Republican President of the past would have walked away from Kav. But not Trump.
I have a lot less fear of the Establishment these days with Trump at the helm than I used to. Look at McConnell and Graham-they absolutely came around in the Kav fight.

I loved the idea of McDaniel when he first came out a few years back but the more I hear him speak and the more I look at him he just isn’t it. Mississippi definitely needs someone to buck the good ol boy system, but it needs to be someone who is a) intelligent and b) who can unite both the old guard and the new with conservative ideas. Mcdaniel while he is more conservative than Hyde-Smith, is the equivalent of Roy Moore in Alabama. Dude has no ability to unite the party and will be bulletin board material for the Dems to get people out to vote for Espy. So many old republicans would stay home with him on the ballot.
As long as trump is in office we need someone who will vote lock step. Hyde Smith is not ideal but she is a trump backed candidate who will be falling in line when it comes to justices and key legislation. That’s good enough for me when the margin for error is 1 senator.
“Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good” is an excellent phrase to consider here
