Chuck Schumer: ‘There Is no presumption of innocence’ for Kavanaugh

Schumer is not the only Democrat who has assumed Kavanaugh’s guilt despite the presumption of innocence. Sen. Mazie Hirono said he couldn’t be trusted and doesn’t deserve to be viewed as innocent until proven otherwise because she doesn’t trust his view on abortion.

It matters not that this isn’t a criminal matter.
To not at least tangentially abide to the spirit of our process regarding accusations is a path to chaos not only in our political system but in our society at large.
Accusers must be required to provide evidence.

I saw some where else that someone was using this talking point: that it is not a trial so he is not innocent until proven guilty.
