Can somebody please explain to me why Cain encountered other tribes of people?
Did you read the article? It doesn't say that at all.

Yes, that is exactly what the study found.

Pretty sound conclusion here, I'm convinced.
As a newly saved Christian, I find you atheists hilarious when you go to such great lengths to try and disprove what's so obviously true. Seriously? It's your own science telling you that Adam and Eve existed!! You had a good try, but it's time to give it up. We'll be praying for you and waiting with open arms if any of you prodigal sons want to return to the fold. Until then, try and keep your pseudo-science out of my children's schools.

I don't know if your just lying to yourself or trolling but that's just factually inaccurate.
And for the 3rd time: Why does the Bible say that Cain encountered other tribes of people????

It's not hard to imagine at all (though I'm not sure it happened). Look at species that know of becoming endangered or extinct. We commonly are aware of this as a byproduct of human activity (over hunting, destruction of ecosystem, etc.). Now imagine in prehistoric times when groups of hominids were much smaller. They probably had a primitive social hierarchy like that of modern apes. Maybe with a dominate male who pro creates with all the females. Now imagine an event like an ice age, viral infection, dry season, etc. causing other factions of this group to die off. It's plausible in an infinite amount of scenarios.

You keep repeating this same shite, even though it has been explained repeatedly in this thread that you are wrong. What the study actually says is that they have calculated approximately the time period in which the single common male ancestor of all humans probably lived.
quote:It's called "survival of the fittest", natural selection, a core mechanism of evolutionary theory. The best-adapted lived on.
If other people did procreate, then somehow their offspring all died off, or else researchers would not have been able to trace every person back to one man and one woman.
quote:You say this as if this one man and one woman were a couple, who procreated together. This is not the case.
So, pick your theory. They either didn't procreate, or else we are left to believe that all of their descendants died off, leaving one man and one woman effectively responsible for the existence of the human race.
quote:Starting to see that you are not included in this group.
Try selling any of that to a person with an IQ above room temperature.

I'll ask you since my question from earlier was ignored. Someone said something about the Big Bang. I asked what was it in the big bang that went bang. So, what was it? There had to be something there to go bang. What was it and where did it come from?

Why do some of you have so much trouble with this study? It was the result of scientific research, so I would think you wouldn't feel the need to resort to sarcastic comments that do nothing to advance your point of view.
The research found what it found. Deal with it.

Even thought the story is an allegory, you can look at it literally (if you so choose) and see that nowhere does it say God didn't create other people in the process. Just that Adam and Eve were the FIRST.

No troll bro, just a really convincing argument he made. It got me thinking and that got me feeling the holy spirit, and now I am saved. Thanks to this awesome thread.

Start here Doppler Effect
We can tell what direction matter is moving through space by this phenomenon.

well that kind of shoots the OP straight to hell, doesn't it?

Interesting. What else in the Bible is a lie?

shite, you know this kinda makes sense. When you think about it, a lot of what we know to be true in the universe is at odds with a literal interpretation of the Bible. It's all a goddamn lie! Back to atheism for this guy. We're all just matter and energy, God is dead, etc. etc.

As for the second question, same answer.

I understand the Doppler effect but that has nothing to do with answering my question. I want to know what exploded in the big bang and where whatever that was came from. Also, what made it explode?
ETA
Unless I'm mistaken an explosion is when something reacts to something else. That means there had to already be at least two things for the big bang to even happen. So, what were these two things and where did they come from?

Why does there have to be a conflict between God and Science? I've never understood the need to belong to one camp or the other.
Because one is the product of stone age superstitions/ fairy tales/myths while the other is the exact opposite.
