Christopher Hitchens is the frustrating sort of leftist; he comes so close to getting it right, but he does so much damage in getting it so slightly wrong.

Hitchens was against what he called “Islamic fascism”, but he was in favor of multi-culturalism.
You left off the rest of the quote from my post, which claimed that Hitchens would have been strident in forcing them to assimilate.
As I pointed out, Hitchens came close to getting it right, but the foundational error in his beliefs is the opinion that multi-culturalism is to be desired. It is not.

Love Hitchens, he was very much for the Iraq war, but many of us were duped by that.
