Sure does appear that way, But protection of European "Art" as THE primary reason for its high degree of permanence-of-construction? (btw -- check out ALL the available fascinating photos at the link for further scrutiny of site construction and prep).

So we can determine the Museum of Science and Industry was designed for the ages based on isolating IT'S detailed construction; But how do we know *which* buildings (if not all or many of them) were designated to be "permanent" OR "temporary"? I think the frank answer is: WE DON'T.)

We'd also have assumed that with all the engineering, pilings, and bulkheads of canals & waterways (a previous swamp), that they also had been designed to be permanent -- yet like the other 193 out of 200 buildings, they were also vandalized / destroyed / neglected.

Anyhoo -- Yes, I agree; "safety" concerns over-protecting European Artwork AND the "fire-proofed" explanation for The Museum's steel building construction does provide a plausible *and* convenient ongoing narrative / cover-story. But does it make any sense? And why should we buy it? Were there contemporary precedents and future similar stories?

UNTOLD ACCOUNTS:

Nearly EVERY one of the World's Fairs and Exhibits from 1851-1920s was said to have been hit with arson and fires that destroyed most of the respective buildings AND grounds (now exactly how cement & stone goes up in "flames" is still a physics mystery that's still unexplained.)

Regarding the general lack of "safety" regs or "worker's rights" as ANY factor whatsoever in the thousands of years of constructed past buildings, walls, canals, tunnels, etc (whether in antiquity or through the 1920s) wasn't close to a serious consideration by the Powers-The-Be...(arguably until perhaps the 1950s?)

The "history" of certain buildings and respective features can't be "re-written" UNLESS certain existing "forbidden" technologies and construction methods (on these same Olde World-Buildings and monuments) were torn down AND destroyed ON SITE.

Hmmm... At the tops of Olde World building towers and buildings (even as of pre-1920s) were "decorative" tips which were functional antennae and balls filled with Red Mercury).

It appears Russian researchers have different / better access to local sources of 'History" and docs.

That bowl is wild. No one can explain it's impossible crafting, of course (OR it's REAL purpose).

Adding to your find: It's called the "TSAR BATH": Who and how was it actually created? (Alterative View)


The "Tsar Bath", or as it is also called the Babolovskaya Bath, is a huge bowl made of solid granite, weighing 48 tons, almost 2 meters high, 5.33 meters in diameter and just over 1.5 meters deep. It is believed that to fill a "bath" with water, you need 1900 buckets of water, although according to another version it is 800 buckets. All this can be summed up in a few words - the dimensions are incredible and impressive.

And a little more official history. The "bath" was allegedly ordered to the stonecutter Samson Sukhanov. The master allegedly took to work, only asked to deliver a piece of granite weighing more than 160 tons to him. After that, a stonemason polished the bath from 1818 to 1828...

... according to many experts, just for a piece of granite to get the shape of a bowl, it will take more than 10 billion hits with a mallet on the scarpel, not even mentioning polishing.
