quote:

The pastor of a black church on the southside of Chicago is urging U.S. Attorney John Lausch to intervene after Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot sent armed police officers to his church on Sunday to shut down services which were attended by 45 people. “Mayor Lightfoot today sent armed police officers to our small church (45 attendees today) to shut our services down today. They came with 3 squad cars two unmarked Durango’s and a Mayor representative’s car. Like the Soviet styled KGB they knocked on our locked doors; the only thing she hasn’t done ‘yet’ is beat the doors down and arrest our members,” Courtney Lewis, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Chicago, wrote in a letter to Lausch on Sunday. “Thankfully our doors were locked as a normal safety precaution we take each service to protect our members from the escalating gun violence in Chicago,” Lewis wrote. “Mayor Lightfoot is defiant of the US Constitution and our freedom to worship.” He said the mayor has “a history of defying the law,” adding that Lightfoot “is one of few former US Prosecutors in the US to be censured by the 7th Circuit Judge Rovner and the entire 7th Circuit Court of Appeals for defying their order.”

quote:

We are trying to follow the laws of man as much as reasonably possible but when the laws of man conflict with the laws of God I as a Pastor have a duty to follow the laws of God,” the pastor wrote. “We will not be intimidated by this overhanded government bully but we are requesting the assistance of our President and our justice department in correcting the grave miscarriage of the law,” Lewis added.

How much more of this will we have to see before the Feds step in?!

Makes you wonder huh?

All of these lawsuits about 1st Amendments being infringed upon around the country and 3 months in, still nothing has been done.

If our 1st amendments were really protected, you’d think the Solicitor General would have asked for an emergency hearing from SCOTUS

Nothing ever seems to be done on our behalf but talk and tweets!

meanwhile they had 15 shootings...over the weekend

when a city needs churches more than ever, they are arresting people for opening up?

if you ever wondered about Satan being a reality...

take a look around at the problems in the greatest country on the planet in terms of freedom, rights, and economic opportunity...

1. Drug addictions= leading to 200 deaths per day
2. Over taxing government (look how complicated our system is...)
3. Over reaching government, too many regulations, too many executive orders during a crisis.
4. Increasing homelessness while we have an economic boom
5. Poverty, seems to always get worse not better
6. Record incarcerations
7. High rent in States controlled by Democrats
8. lack of fatherhood in poor communities
9. Lack of education in poor communities
10. Colleges are too expensive for the middle class to avoid massive debt
11. Most Americans are overweight
12. Health care is too expensive
13 We now have a push in America to endorse perverted sexual experimentation and relationships, and label these unions as being "human" and justify it with arguments such as "equality"

Yep. In the article, the pastor says they have to keep their doors locked during services to prevent shooters from coming into the sanctuary.

For some strange reason I don’t believe this would ever ever ever happen at a mosque. Cant put my finger on why I feel that way

Religion gets in the way of their agenda... Christianity is a formidable road block and splinter in the eye of the mayor... She has made no bones about it...

Serious question:
How do you look at a picture of that creature and think to yourself "you know, I think she would make a really good mayor!"?

Step 1.) Hold your church services in a lowes or walmart.

Step 2.) Profit.

Attention CNN, NYT, Wash Post, and MSNBC, this is what an attack on the First Amendment looks like. Let me know when Trump sics the District of Columbia police force on you.

If this is the case, the pastor should get the congregants inside, lock the doors, and film the police breaking the doors down in order to shut the services down...

Then they can splash it on social media and surely those in his community and other black communities around the country will riot...

Everyone in Chicago's government could die in a fire and no one would even notice (or care).

The only thing that will stop the police from interfering is if more and more churches begin to open up. They need to take the initiative. That’s how Texas got barbershops and salons opened early. They can’t shut all of them down and it’s not like they’re gonna send in the military. It will force the governor’s hand.

What should this pastor and church do that they haven’t done?

One church is not enough. They need a lot more to defy the orders.
