Horrible comparison, bud
I don’t care if they are days or yrs away from a nuke. They are trying to build it. Take it all out. Simple.

You realize these claims go back to the mid 1980s?
In 1984, German intelligence reportedly warned that Iran could develop a nuclear weapon within a few years, especially with assistance from Pakistan or other countries.
Netanyahu in Israel started making claims as early as 1992 that Iran might only be a few years off from having a nuclear weapon. That’s 33 years ago for those keeping score at home.
The US CIA director in 1995 Robert Gates estimated that Iran was 3-5 years out.
CS Monitor: a history of claims related to the Iranian Nuclear program
Why do you think they immediately pivoted to regime change? They don’t want to have to own their claims after the dust settles.
If you can’t see they’re running the same playbook of WMDs for regime change they did in Iraq I don’t know what to tell you.
And to be clear, it’s not that I want the radical Iranian regime to remain in power. It’s simply that I’m not willing to trade what I view as our last best chance of saving the American republic and economy before we hit a debt wall and descend into chaos to do it and those are the stakes in my mind as we approach midterms with a president who can’t run for reelection.

I haven’t seen Cruz ever get owned like he did in that interview with Carlson. Especially when he said “we” are bombing them right now. Carlson dug into him pretty hard while Cruz tried to slither out like he didn’t say we.
