Agreed, I'm scratching my head on that. If alerts went out late, they went out late. Could have cost lives...

Didn't warnings go out super late? How is that a bad question?

Notifications went out 12 hours before, and warnings went out 3 hours before.

I see headlines like this though...

"Kerr County officials waited 90 minutes to send emergency alert after requested, dispatch audio shows"

If theyre wrong call them fake news, don't just shite on the nerve to ask the question.

If this happened then the questions are legit.

Actually, notifications went out Tuesday night as local weather broadcasts all claimed that the 4th could have "heavy rains"....not to the extent of flood warnings...just to be aware.

I mean, they have tried to kill him twice, and now progressives are saying the Butler attempt was staged. That is the new narrative a year later. My FB is loaded with lefties now with "proof" that it was fake and even the guy killed is still alive.

Hysterical

People wanting others dead over a political disagreement is frightening.

Even the most ardent left leaning weather pros I follow are saying a week later that everyone did everything they could. No one saw this storm coming to this extent, and the fact that it happened at night made it worse. I have weather men on my feed that push the climate change hoax daily that agree this was something that would have only been avoided had they evacuated the camp over a "potential warning", which wasn't going to happen.

Won't stop the left. Here we are a week later and they are still fishing, just hoping they can leverage people they hate anyway for political gain.

No, they didn't. There were plenty of "potential flash flooding" warnings.

Again, even leftist, climate change pushing weather pros are saying today nothing could have warned that this specific area would see a 26 foot rise in the river in an hour or so.

There was a freak event and it cost lives. It is terrible. Yet a week later lefties are cheering on "audio that my suggest XYZ" as a gotcha, then putting these questions on someone who was not anywhere near the camp. Keep in mind these are the same voters that championed a guy that couldn't tell you what city he was in for the past six years.

All events like this do for normal people like me is make me realize that many people I associate with are evil.

No, they are pretending that when Trump anchors in negotiations, then moves to a reasonable position, that he’s chickening out.

lol Trump announces massive tariffs on a country or the EU by X date unless a deal is made, no deal is made by that date, Trump delays the massive tariffs until a later date. Time and time again.

Our massive tariffs on the EU are set to be enacted August 1st now. It’s totally going to happen this time!!!!

"At 4:22 a.m. on Friday, as Texas' Hill Country began to flood, a firefighter in Ingram – just upstream from Kerrville – asked the Kerr County Sheriff's Office to alert nearby residents, according to audio obtained by ABC affiliate KSAT. But Kerr County officials took nearly six hours to heed this call.

"The Guadalupe Schumacher sign is underwater on State Highway 39," the firefighter said in the dispatch audio. "Is there any way we can send a CodeRED out to our Hunt residents, asking them to find higher ground or stay home?"

"Stand by, we have to get that approved with our supervisor," a Kerr County Sheriff's Office dispatcher replied."

Is this true?

I hate this shite. My spouse and I were second-guessed after Katrina, while searching for our pets at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center, which was being used as a holding center for recovered pets. We could not bring them with us when we evacuated (they would have died), and left them in extremely safe circumstances. That sanctuary was broken into by rescuers, even though the animals were in no imminent danger, and our pets got out. We did everything we could, as well as we could, to keep them safe, and the actions of some bone-headed rescuers from out of town put them in harm’s way. And then we were shamed by the HBIC at Lamar-Dixon for not taking them with us! We were already devastated; she was just piling on to make herself feel better. Let the people who live there handle this themselves. Stop trying to score points. They are in enough pain already.

Incorrect. It’s sad. It’s tragic. Less than a 90 minute delay, even in the middle of the night may have saved a few lives. We don’t know though.

All indications are that by 422AM the damage was alreaqy done.

Let's say in your perfect world where everyone sees the future, that a warning goes out at 422AM when the unexpected is already well underway...

How would this have helped people in an area that has limited cell service and is miles away from "civilization".

You are trying to find someone to blame in a scenario where you can't blame anyone. I know that is rough for many of you to grasp.

Campers and hikers die every year in areas like these under much weaker weather circumstances annually. Even if you got a warning out, most of them would not get it due to location or timing. A warning at 422AM to these campers would not have saved a single person.

Oh, look at you. So precious!

So in your mind, this is a gotcha? An American citizen being killed by a violent criminal that should have NEVER been in the US in the first place is the same thing as the deaths of these kids due to a freak weather event?

It can't be said enough: you people are sick. Period.

Why did an alert go out hours later, then?

Wrong. The emergency alerts were sent out. Dummy.
