My note to Senator Cassidy:
Dear Senator Cassidy,
Your vote to affirm the constitutionality of this sham impeachment and the removal of a president who has already left office is an absolute embarrassment. I am so sorry I ever voted for you and can assure you I will never again vote for Bill Cassidy for United States Senator or any other office. You have been beyond a colossal disappointment and have done an abysmal job representing your constituents. I really don't care if Cedric Richmond, Sharon Weston Broome, or John Bel Edwards becomes our next US Senator; at least we know who's side they're on. I truly hope you chose to switch parties (Mitt Romney, your new best friend, is a closet-dwelling Democrat). I'm sure you'll feel at home with Chuck Schumer and the Never Trump (alleged) Republicans. You are no conservative Republican and I only hope you choose not to seek reelection in 2016. Your supposed constituents will not forget your betrayal these last few weeks and are disgusted by your disdain for the US Constitution. You should really resign your seat. JBE's Democrat replacement can be no worse than you. You're disgusting and you will eventually pay the price at the ballot box should you choose to seek reelection. You know nothing about him. He was actually a practicing physician with quite a large charitable and pro bono streak. Locals who’ve known him since high school call him Billy. He is a leading authority on liver disease and still kept his privileges at Earl K. Long when he could have avoided charity work completely. I know him as an expert witness and advisor in hepatitis cases allegedly due to misdiagnosis, negligent blood transfusion or blood storage. Somebody thought it’d be a really good idea to run him for Congress and based upon his peripheral experiences with the law, lawyers, and political infighting he thought so too. So, he winds up in the House. The inevitable political progression sets in and there he is a Senator. He’s not in it for power or money personally. Just a vote with an “R” after his name. He is absolutely ill-suited to politics by temperament and you can read it all over his face and demeanor.

Nobody is criticizing him as a person. He maybe the second coming of Jesus for all we know. We are criticizing his inability to represent the people of Louisiana and what those people want. He isn’t there to make his own choices he is there to reflect what the people who put him there want.

Most representatives in a parliamentary democracy and certainly those in a republic do, in fact, have to make their own choices. I agree with you about Cassidy in that he is just not anywhere close to being a good politician (probably because he has no instinct for political self-preservation) and I also don’t think he truly understands a plethora of very important issues. Like I said, a vote with an “R”.

I know a lot about him. Anybody who does a lot of expert witnessing and has a large charitable practice means they can’t make it in private practice. All docs do their fair share of charitable work. It’s unavoidable. You blend that in with your private practice and make it work.
He never was truly respected in the medical community. That’s why he went the state medicine route, and then into politics. He couldn’t make it in private practice. He’s a joke.

In reality Cassidy is just another member of the uniparty, and he is now in the "safe" category. He's got 6 more years in office, so now he has room to go complete pro-establishment against the wishes of the people who voted him in
