Then shouldn't you be pissed off that the other hundreds of corporations that make that much money didn't get the tax break? Doesn't that give them an unfair advantage?

He was able to move on the deal in Indiana because Pence is still the governor there. He is proposing a cut to reduce the third highest corporate tax rate on earth. Let him at least get inaugurated before you start flailing around with the broken promises talk.

It's the job of the county and state to take care of it's people first and foremost. Now, if you're saying you're ok with the President intervening in ALL corporate business, let us know so we can start a new thread.

It should be noted that the money saved from not having these people on unemployment+the tax dollars gained from these people keeping their jobs greatly outweighs the tax break. Indiana is just as happy to be able to tax these jobs and avoid having to pay for these families unemployment.

Why isn't Kansas rolling in wealth now?

The city I live in just gave TIF incentives to lure a company in, should I be butt hurt?

If you are a small business owner, then yes you absolutely should. If you believe that people and companies should stand on their own merits and not be propped up by government then yes you should be butt hurt.

Why didn't the county and Pence step in when this was announced then?? You know, before Pence was on the VP ticket and governor?

Didn't care?

Pence tried. The parent company told him to go and shite in a hat. Trump was able to use his political capital and media profile to convince them to reconsider.

One more time isn't that his plan you know when he us actually Prez?

Yes, it is his plan to lower the corporate income tax for all businesses. That is NOT what happened here, he brokered a deal with 1 corporation at the expense of it's competitors. If you don't understand this then there is no sense arguing with you.

So what incentive should a city have to lure a company into their environs? Hookers and blow?

It is what it is, bigger companies have a much bigger economic impact on a municipality and therefore garner greater incentives.

You'd take an OT 10 to Ruth's Chris and an OT 5 to Applebee's

I expect better than saving less than 40% of jobs. How in the hell can a President elect and governor not save at least half of 2100 jobs from going to Mexico? Especially when the parent company is a large defense contractor. 800 stay while 1300 leave the country and Trump celebrates.

Weak.

For those of you "conservatives" that want to educate yourself on true conservative principles. Then Ben Shapiro is the guy to listen to. Starts around minute 4.

Trump Saved Jobs! But How?

Lower taxes across the board dumbass! That should be the incentive for all economic growth. Governments should not pick and choose which companies get tax benefits and which have to pick up the tab for it.

Trump did the exact same shite though, as did Carrier, that ANY politician does. They all make decisions based upon political debits and credits. UTX gave in due to their billions in government contracts, billions in research grants and to have a sweet headline.

It's all a game and we all know how it's played. His idea Trump has done something revolutionary is tickling.

Again I'll ask, where is the 35% tariff on Carrier?

States do this all the time. Some of you just learned about this today.

There will be tax cuts across the board federally. This was a state issue. Set up by pence.
