Isn't that his plan, you know when he is President?

That is not what this deal is, if it was I would be all for it. This is a deal brokered to a single corporation for the sole purpose of making the President elect look like a hero.

So yo think every time a major corporation threatens to ship jobs overseas they should get a $7 million tax break?

Do you even realize how miniscule that is in terms of economic impact?

What you need to know is that China floods cash into business in their country. For example: Hikvision. It is a dominant, world-wide company, with all manufacturing in China. They make security cameras and accessories, and are probably #1 or #2 in the world in unit sales, beating out big names like, Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Toshiba, Samsung, as well as industry leaders such as Axis and Bosch. Hikvision has been around only about 6 years.

The Chinese government has passed about $5 billion dollars to Hikvision to build them into a dominant manufacturer. U.S. companies are at a huge disadvantage against that sort of economic manipulation. So if a company receives a small break, it really pales in comparison to the real world issues they have to compete with.

You can tell who the young and dumb kids are on the board. They are introduced to tax breaks for a company bringing their business to town. Trump is MAGAing all over their tender feels.

The ignorance is hilarious.

The 6 month unemployment figure for those employees was close to 7 million. It's a great proposal for both indiana, carrier, its employees and supply base, and the country.

This is not just about Carrier. This was a message sent to all business and industry. That message is after 8 years of record regulation and taxes the cavalry has arrived. We are going to be businness friendly roll back tax increases and slash regulations.

Yes to keep companies from moving to a state with a more business friendly tax code. That doesn't make it right, what these states should do is lower their taxes for all businesses not just the ones that threaten to leave. This is also what the federal government should do.

No kidding. Tax reductions, free utilities, even free land are all ways towns, counties and states incentivize corporations to build in their areas EVERY SINGLE DAY.

I'd rather by tax dollars help working Americans...?

BTW, part of that tax money is helping the very people who paid those taxes in the first place.

I'm not sure if people realize companies get tax breaks from states all the time. Infact it's usually normal procedure. It just doesn't make national news usually.

States offer tax breaks openly so businesses will open shop in that state. How many people here are really this ignorant of reality and are just using this as an excuse for faux outrage so they can be mad at trump?

It was a good deal. Everyone who disagrees is an idiot.

One more time isn't that his plan you know when he us actually Prez?

So you prefer losing thousands of jobs on some fricked up "principle" versus a miniscule tax loss. brilliant.
