So yo think every time a major corporation threatens to ship jobs overseas they should get a $7 million tax break?

I think keeping American jobs for American workers is money better spent than fattening the government pocketbook.

Hell most states would do way more to get them to move there from another state. 7 million is nothing compared to the benefits and taxes that will be generated with 1,000 jobs over years. That's the biggest reason the corporate tax rate need to be slashed.

tell us what the deal was before you tell us you love the deal.

how much were the 1000 people making whose jobs went to Mexico?

How much tax was Carrier paying before this deal?

why should any companies do otherwise than carrier? threaten to leave, get low taxes.

Think about this. 1000 people out of work go on welfare and receive 10,000 dollars a year in benefits, that is 10 million annually to the American taxpayers. It was a great deal and a deal a politician would have never approached. Obama was the equivalent of having Al Sharpton as president for 8 years he was just polished.

Trump balked on the 35% tariff for the electric coil op furnace plant that IS STILL moving to Mexico and taking jobs from Indiana.

Nasty deal. Nasty deal.

Sounds great, lets give every American business a tax break proportional to the one given to Carrier. Singling out Carrier because they threatened to leave the country sets a terrible precedent.

It should be noted that the money saved from not having these people on unemployment+the tax dollars gained from these people keeping their jobs greatly outweighs the tax break. Indiana is just as happy to be able to tax these jobs and avoid having to pay for these families unemployment.

Then shouldn't you be pissed off that the other hundreds of corporations that make that much money didn't get the tax break? Doesn't that give them an unfair advantage?

Can you imagine the loss of tax money from Carrier actually leaving? Property tax, sales tax, SS tax, medicare tax, etc. Short sighted is no way to live life. Try thinking outside the box your built for yourself

800 jobs saved. 1300 jobs lost. Don't you expect better from a President elect and governor working together?

Every large and medium sized business negotiates tax abatement and other incentives to sway them to build in one area or another. Carrier didn't get anything other businesses don't pursue and get
