She’s hitching rides?

She assumed that she should go the same route since that was ok the first time around.
Laws have changed over the years, in fact, within the last few weeks. Hasn’t she kept up with current events?
Seems like excuses for her failures.
You can cross into Mexico without a passport, getting back, it’s on you.

Does it really matter? Would you want to drive from Wisconsin to LA?

And that makes it ok to detain someone on foreign soil?

I'm guessing the reason why she choose that border instead of the Canadian border is because it's proximity to LA where she was going to work. A lot easier to hitch a ride from San Diego than Wisconsin.
But who gave her a ride from Canada to Mexico?

lol no shite?
So she flew over the us to hitch a car ride?
Why not just fly to la?
You sound like a tool.

Don’t get mad at the answer to a question which was stupid.

There’s this whole work visa thing we’ve been discussing. It’s been addressed numerous times.

And you sound like an idiot.

Foreign to her? How hard is it to get into Canada without proper paperwork?
quote:

No flights?
You are starting to make more excuses than her.
I can decipher more to the story than what’s being reported. Just a guess.

It’s like some of you are putting actual effort into being stupid.

Please, I’ve seen your posts. When you resort to name calling, you’ve lost.
You put no effort in, just comes natural for you?

I’m speaking the obvious.
Just take a moment and think….and I’m being serious….think about why someone with a revoked work visa wouldn’t fly into LAX.
If you bothered to read any of this thread, you would know why she chose that border crossing. It’s been covered at least once a page.

I’m actually the one in this thread that did put any effort into figuring out this story. It was a very simple google search to find a different article that spelled out what happened. Sorry that I’m not a smooth-brain whose immediate response to a “there’s gotta be more to this story” is “I’m just gonna decipher(make shite up) the rest of it”.

Pank, you and I seem to be the only people disturbed by this. I won't speak for you, but it bothers me to think that our country imprisons people arbitrarily without charging them with a criminal offense.
I am conservative and MAGA. This isn't a matter of left or right. One of the things I hope for is transparency from the Trump Administration. I think they are off to a great start generally. This case in particular, however, makes no sense ON THE FACTS AS presented.
I know, I am not owed anything, but it would be refreshing to hear a full explanation from the Feds. The simple fact is that the woman was not illegally IN the United States. She might have fraudulently applied to ENTER the USA, but the remedy for that would have been to deny her entry or arrest and charge her.
In my opinion, the fact that there is no direct explanation from the Feds tends to show that the incarceration was a mistake. Not telling you what to do, but I have come to accept that we will never know all the facts of this case.

This is the problem. People in this thread claim to be for legal migration when your response to ICE detaining a Canadian on Mexican soil is “well good!”
This was a massive mistake in the part of ICE. This board would lose its absolute shite and scream for Trump to nuke Mexico if the Federales started arresting American citizens on our own soil.

Why does anyone give a shite about this D list actress?

Questions like this make me agree that not everyone should have the right to vote. It has frick all to do with the actress. No one cares who she is.

Why does her identity matter either way? I'm only interested in whether or not our country is wrongfully imprisoning people, regardless of who they are.

Maybe you two should get a room and cry it out.

Rock solid smooth-brained response.

There is no way to know this. There is more to the story obviously. If ICE detained her instead of turning her away for no reason then I'll be the first to say that's terrible and we have to be better. Just seems to be like ICE isn't in the business of detaining people that haven't broken a law. Let the facts come out completely then you can say whether it was mistake or not.

Sensible position. My guess is that the no more facts will ever be offered by the Government much less "come out completely."
