No I wont. I will do that willingly. Thats the difference. And it actually makes sense.
Also, I edited OP to make a few points of clarification.

I said what I had to say then we left
- by the time we reached the truck, my wife was visibly upset so I actually conceded. Walked back in, grabbed a mask, strapped it on, And then they told us the doctor had already left. It was literally two minutes.
- we left pissed as hell and within an hour, we had a new doctor lined up, with an appointment
So was it worth it?

You really need to reevaluate your priorities.
Jesus Christ. No amount of crawfishing in your op will make you not the douche in this situation.

Well, my wife wasnt mad at me, she was mad about how they treated us over masks. And she feels 100x better about the new doctor that we know personally. So I guess it was.

My wife gave birth to our third son on Feb 8th.
We are as anti mask/anti vax as they come. My wife more so than me even. But the one place I don’t think twice about it is the hospital. I still don’t agree. But the health of my wife and kid trumps any “stand” I would take there. (And I don’t mean health due to mask. But being denied service due to refusing to wear one)

Didn't read all responses but pretty sure there is a mask Mandate from the Governor, not Ochsner.

Hospitals have a monopoly on our healthcare services. And they have proven to be far beyond corrupt throughout COVID.

I’m fully against masks but I don’t make an issue about it at a hospital. That’s the only place I’ll wear one if asked

Yeah man. Oschner lost a patient (customer) and My wife ended up with a better doctor and more peace of mind. If that’s what getting owned looks like, I can accept that.

The mask religion is absolutely ridiculous

I see one flaw to your solution. In my experience, doctors tend to deliver babies in hospitals. Hospitals, whether named Ochsner or not, tend to require masks.
Also fair warning, it’s a pretty decent chance your new doctor won’t deliver your baby. In fact the doctor who makes the decision to admit your wife, the doctor who rounds on her during delivery and the doctor who yanks that baby out by knife or neck may all be different doctors, none of whom are your doctor who is sitting at home not on call that night.
Things get pretty heady during delivery. You’ll be helping your wife take a shite through contractions and talking her through some pretty big decisions. Try not to get kicked out just to own the libs.

No. You got p’owned. That’s worse than owned.

They have every right to demand you mask up.

Sorry, the time to fight the mask policy is not when your wife is bleeding and needing attention. It’s not like it’s a new policy. Sometimes you have to concede or find a Dr that allows no masks.
