Can A Prog Here Explain What These Idiots Are Actually Protesting In Regards To The Wall?

They are protesting the country they live in securing the border.
It’s one of the most illogical protests I’ve ever seen. “No we don’t want safety!”
As stupid as this protest is, it’s still second to the people marching the streets chanting to “protect” a special investigator. That one is absolutely pathetic, desperate and embarrassing.

we have very real border security issues, and we know, for an undisputed fact, that the VAST majority of those problem originate at our perfectly legal points of entry. so trump had two choices: he could invest our very limited funding in security where the problems are happening, or in places where they arent.
guess which one he chose.
lets say a wall stops 10 crimes. better security in the places where PEOPLE ACTUALLY ARE could stop 100. i have no idea why people here think immigrants are wandering through the Mexican desert for 500 miles just to sneak in. thats not happening, and its way more trouble than its worth for cartels.
its like a firetruck going to a house fire, and instead of putting out the fire that exists, it soaked down the other houses just in case. and then left.

How do you calculate the number of crimes that occur at the places we have no physical barrier or border protection? Do you just assume it doesn’t happen because: “Who would do such a thing?”

False. 400,000 people last year were detained last year between the ports of entry. Those were just the ones caught. Low end estimates say that at least 200,000 got through just fine. Low end. Add those two numbers together.
THATS HOW MANY ATTEMPTED TO CROSS BETWEEN THE PORTS OF ENTRY LAST YEAR.
Now. I’ll let you research on your own how many got through at the ports of entry. One, because I know you won’t do it. You want to believe your dumb narrative. Two, if you actually do do it, you’ll come across numbers in the process that completely undercut your narrative.
