Campaign Attack Ads

Thankfully, my wife throws away all junk mail before I can see it. I rarely watch network, including local affiliates TV these days. I have seen MAYBE half dozen different attack ads on social media. What is all of the complaining about by Fleming in defense of the one he actually shared.
Also, what is the commission structure for campaign consultants for tired old ineffective advertising? it seems to me some forms of advertising is all about wasting campaign financing for commissions.

We get it. You’re a campaign worker for DEI Letlow.
You not understanding the big deal about the millions of hidden interest money funding an empty vapid airhead who’s engaged to a top lobbyist for the senate seat with blatantly false ads is not surprising and PROVES you’re connected to letlow in someway

We're seeing all the usual character assassination propaganda being pushed in our local elections as well.
I think Spencer Pratt reset the bar and we're going to see a lot of that in the '28 election cycle ... but they'll abuse that too, and turn it all into slop.
Most voters are too dumb to do their own homework. Which is why I encourage Chicken to take the PoliBoard national ... to properly educate the masses.

I don't work for anyone but myself and have never had any association with any of these candidates. I did canvas door to door in 2008 and that is it. It was fun. While I doubt it did any good as both McCain and Kennedy lost, I learned a lot about Baton Rouge and citizens, such as...
1. No one answers their door in the Hood.
2. Attack ads work like magic even on lifelong friends and frat bros of candidates
3. Upper Class neighborhoods had the highest concentration by far of Blue Star and Gold Star families who were all extremely friendly.
4. SOME profs are full of rage. One of them spit at me standing behind his 4th of 5th grade son who answered the door and waited until I was halfway back to the street. Several others really wanted me to respond in kind with anger and yelling at them. Smiling and walking away pissed them off even more
5. Young Ivy League educated LSU profs where happy to see opposing sides with opposing views even if not their side. They thought that debate was healthy.

Campaigns are wasting money with mailers and some TV ad buys.
My door knocking experience showed me that the only thing it really does is to show that the GOP was trying an assured some GOP voters of that. It changed ZERO minds.
Social media is where it's at, IMO.

I keep a 20 gallon trash can outside to chuck political ads, catalogs, donation requests etc with out reading. Three weeks ago I did receive a bill payment request that was promptly processed.

Thanks for the comment Gomer Pyle. I only cared about voting Cassidy out, who I voted for in the past for his vote against Trump which was only symbolic and then acting like he was a Trump supporter after Trump won in 2024.
Fleming by siding with Community Organizers in NOLA is what turned me off to him. Also that an elected state official is still a registered lobbyist in DC and still gets a paycheck from a lobbying firm. That alone should make anyone question how genuine he ISN"T.
As for Letlow's voting record, there is in fact extreme poverty in her district among all races and a loss of great paying jobs over the last 2 decades with closure of paper mills and other industry. there are in fact large landowners and dirt poor small farmers. Some dirt poor farmers have gotten into raising goats 25 years ago due market demand by immigrant Mooselimbs. Corn isn't doing so great if no ethanol plants to sell to these days as well. There was a dramatic shift from cotton to corn up there after ethanol started using a lot of corn up north and wasn't available for export down the Mississippi River. Export market is down, in revenue, the last few years. Soybean prices are way down with international competition which wasn't there several decades ago.

What community organizers are you talking about?
Letlow has a terrible voting record and she will continue to vote exactly the way the Uniparty wants her to. I feel like we have a better chance with Fleming.

No one can retain a seat in 5th district without bringing home Fed funds. There are some large landowners and wealthy people in it but most the industry it had is gone for almost 2 decades and those good paying jobs with it.
Most voting scorecards are to promote elected officials who use white papers from those orgs to vote and no info pertinent to their constituents. It's actually a lazy way to vote for or against instead of doing their own research which very few actually do.

Social media ads are taking over since so few people actually watch broadcast TV these days, but alas YouTube/Google is as crooked as the networks. Thank goodness for Elon.
The only ads that get through these days are bought around live sporting events and that's mostly men.
