Cali leaves the union and we lose ports and bases. Business. Tax revenue and on top of all that even more Mexicans flood the state all the way up the western seaboard. Putting more illegal immigrants further north into our country. Dumb sh!t to contemplate.

Yes, this was decided by SCOTUS on the Arizona immigration policies. The holding was that the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution overrode any state attempt to control immigration.
I seem to recall a lot of outrage over that by the right. Course now it's cutting both ways, so the positions are flipped.
Interesting thing that. It's almost as if both parties switched positions the moment it became inconvenient. Shocker.

Cali does not pay federal tax. It's residence and businesses pay federal tax.
