Im sure they will shift taxes to more property tax on the car and higher sales taxes on them. Real questions are 1) how much tax will be placed on gas cars coming into the state, 2) any loopholes for diesel, 3) what about all the jobs of gas station workers/ businesses that will be gone. With no need for gas, gas stations will be gone.

Doesn’t California have rolling blackouts ocassionally because they already can’t keep up with electricity demands at certain times of year during peak usage? Now lets add extra demand for electricity for millions of vehicles that’ll need to be plugged in and charged daily

I will give him credit for actually pushing this crazy idea. Most liberal just complain about climate change but live no different then the rest of us . The bad part is this will just push more liberals to leave California.

Then, when the fires still continue anyway and your vehicle isn't charged because of the electrical blackouts, you have no means of escape?

Brilliant!

Does the Communist Republic of California plan to supply every resident with a horse for emergency transportation? Oh, wait... nah because livestock farts cause global warming and PETA would sky scream.

I sense a mass exodus from California, that's already happening, will accelerate. These fricking retards can't do anything because they've pandered to so many "groups" for so long that it's impossible so please one without pissing off another. They've done this 5o themselves.

There are 14.8 million automobiles in CA.

Where is all that electricity coming from? Remember these cars are charged primarily at night....when there's no solar.
