They were supposed to lose some seats after the 2020 census until the Census Bureau conveniently fricked up the count.

And before people melt, just remember we have been counting non-citizens for these purposes since day 1. The original Constitution was specifically written by our Founders to specifically do just this. It's not some crazy new idea of modernity.

It was wrong to ever start counting illegals fro congressional apportionment and it's wrong now. It must stop, allow sensibility to erase the idiocy of the past.

It would benefit all of us, if California, New York City (as the rest of New York is republican leaning) Illinois and the rest of the sorry democratic run states didn’t have quite the representation in congress or electoral votes

Unfortunately, they saw this coming and gerrymandered plenty of districts into non-competitiveness.

While some of this is true, much more scrutiny is upon California. Also add to the fact the losses it is experiencing yearly it will be harder to hide. Not to say that the left won't give it a try to hide.

No, you fricking moron. It was the 3/5ths compromise for slaves. The slaves were counted as 3/5ths of a person. The Founders weren’t authorizing the counting of illegal immigrants in the census. Incidentally, it was the 14th Amendment citizenship clause that was enacted to make the freed slaves citizens and which deranged libs claim allows for anchor babies.

Bunch of downvotes, but of course the fact you bring up was basis of the 3/5ths compromise.
