What is 49 billion for? To rebuild all the rich peoples houses?
It's to go to NGO's controlled by politically-connected Democrats to be skimmed and used to support extravagant lifestyles. I'd say maybe 1/1000th would actually make it to those to whom the money is intended.

Trump should say “handle it yourself”
OR, we find it and we run the cleanup and recovery.
PERIOD

He was just bragging a couple years ago about their economy and a surplus. Where did it go?

I’d use it to broker a deal to purge voter rolls and install voter id.
Except newscum and all wouldn’t honor it

Some of the estimates of the total houses destroyed were in the ball park of 10,000 and roughly another 6,000 other structures, total of 16,000. A rough "high-end" estimate of the uninsured structures is 25% of the 16,000 or 4,000.
Saying you want 10B - Ten Billion ($10,000,000,000.00) for these uninsured structures would mean roughly 2.5M two and half million dollars a structure (house or business "repair").
I know that these may have been a high end area and California is known to cost more than most place, but I do wonder how many people reading this have the equivalent of 2.5M dollars given to them, or even believe this will make it into the hands of the uninsured folks...or even debating in our minds whether or not these 2.5 million dollar homes should need to come out tax payer dollars from people with 300-400K homes or worse?
We do like transparency right? Someone mentioned oversight, I think that is warranted.

This. It should be a direct line between the citizens and federal government, no middle man (California/Newsom) involved whatsoever. Set up a temporary FEMA office to deal with affected citizens with a direct phone number, cut out any possible grift and corruption that CA may take off the top by going around them.
We *want* to help these citizens so we aren't hypocrites. The Trump administration made a huge deal out of Biden ignoring the flood victims in NC and coming to their aid immediately after the inauguration. They have a chance to show a very liberal stronghold that they aren't keen to the tactics of the previous administration/Democrats, that the Republicans and Trump will do what's right despite your political leanings (unlike Bidens term)
