Believe me, I'm open. If given a choice I'd take an ISD and let parish govt. remain as is. But that isn't the choice that I see we have.

You and the majority of St. George.

If ISD was offered today, the incorporation effort would die tomorrow.

You would still have to "move" on paper. LOL

That's not "moving to SG." LOL

no city that has requested a school district has been denied in recent years.
But ALL of them required approval by a statewide and parish wide vote. Why would SG be different?

This statement is a clear admission that all the bitching and moaning about how unfairly the SG area has been treated by the city of BR is just BS.

Once again you take add 1 and 1 together and get 11.

I and many others would stop the city thing if the school thing was real.

What is also real is the raw politics that have been used against SG at every turn.

1+1=11 only in Russian aritmetic

Poor logic. Those things are not mutually exclusive.

It suggests that the most important aspect of this entire effort is the school system. That St. George will hugely benefit by incorporating is still true...just secondary.

I get the school district part. But what benefits will exist (outside of increasing the chances of getting an ISD)?

I have never heard even one good reason. Much less that it would "hugely benefit."

St. George, over time, is going to thrive. It is already the primary alternative to Baton Rouge, and will only become more attractive as it improves the schooling, gains wealth, etc.
