Lest you young forget, bush and the cia orchestrated the Iranians to prevent the release of USA marines and embassy staff so as to paint carter as unable to negotiate.
Prisoners were released as soon as Reagan bush took office. Payment to the terrorists was 10 missiles. Bush received back 10 million us $$. Paid 1 million to arms middleman. 9 million went to "contras" the establishment.
Sandinista won anywAy. Bush got off because Reagan claimed Alzheimer's and couldn't remember, gosh, sorry.

That's my problem with the thread. I think a lot of people here know that GHWB was tied in with deep state thugs. But, it's naive to think they went away or don't work with Democratic establishment like the Clintons.
