Today I played golf for the first time in two months. It was just across the border in Waskom, Tex. I asked the lady at the desk 'When did ya'll open up?'
Her: 'It was back in 1980'
Me: 'No, I mean from being closed from the virus.'
Her: 'We never closed.'
Me: 'The govt didn't give ya'll a problem?'
Her: 'Our governor is different from La's. governor.'

Just went to get lunch. There was no inside seating, but there were more customers than a normal lunchtime.

Half the people in the restaurant were wearing masks. About 5 of them didn’t have the mask covering their nose.

Bank was packed. Errywhere was packed.

Let’s get this Rona party on the road. 10 months to herd immunity.

I couldn't help but notice a few businesses that had been closed this whole time are now back open for business!

JBE backpedaled off his initial order that said only "essential" businesses could remain open. When he announced the extension he claimed that most "non-essential" businesses were never ordered to close to begin with and they just had to observe social distancing for employees/customers and limit the number of people in the store at a time.

he said he was going to pull permits. and then there's power and water. he's got options unfortunately. may be serious legal repercussions to him later but he can make it hurt for now.

He was also going to shut down LSU Football and turn old folks out of nursing homes.

JBE’s a lot of talk. People are starting to realize it and are calling his bluff.

Walls between states are fine but Trump's wall is bad.

You can't make this shite up.

This. The Mayor of Covington caught this as soon as it was mentioned.

Advocate report this morning Businesses thought John Bel Edwards' stay-at-home order closed them down. Some were mistaken.

He posts here sometimes.

ETA: so to clarify, businesses aren't ignoring the Governor, they are following his latest guidance.
