DIY Oxy Hydrogen Torch Using Water Electrolysis
quote:

This torch is useful for a variety of chemistry experiments as well as small welding and jewelry projects. At one point in this video I demonstrate its use for making synthetic rubies, an experiment I have done on several occasions via other means.

Nerds gonna nerd. With people combining existing ideas with new technologies we could possibly see engines being supplied by energy from water. The "engines" just may be different than we imagined.

This whole topic is stupid and OP should be embarrassed for posting it. Electrolysis isn’t a breakthrough and a car can’t run using it because it takes more energy to do it than the engine produces. It’s why I’m his video he has 4 deep cycle marine batteries for the system because the engine can’t produce enough electricity to make it happen. It’s all smoke and mirrors and has been tried many times before.

But it takes energy to separate the hydrogen from the water. It takes more energy than what you can get out of the hydrogen so if you had that electricity to begin with you'd be better off using it to drive the car directly. Electric motors are pretty efficient and much more efficient than an an I/C engine. The energy density of gasoline is what makes I/C so convenient.

Didn't say it was a good idea. Just it is possible

Hydrolysis

Run a current through h2o amd separates oxygen and hydrogen

Don't you think if the hydrolysis reaction created a surplus of energy we would have utilized it by now?
