I didn't learn one damn thing new about Benghazi from that interview. But it sure was entertaining watching Tommy crawfish the entire time.

There are no words for what I just observed in this interview.
It's on a par with this. Same level of maturity.

I attended a seminar with a professional interrogator. If you believe in body language, those eyes are warning bells that someone is lying. If you see white above the iris, they're pathological.

I've been immersed in this subject for 19 months and I didn't know Vietor was in the Situation Room that night. I think that was news to everyone. Vietor was merely the SPOKESMAN for the NSC, not a decisionmaker. I'd really like to know who else was in there that night.

He gives another signal too when Bret asks about his direct involvement in editing the talking points. He answers in a rather unconfident fashion and then swallows.
...fear or extreme anxiety

Bret Baier is humiliating Tommy Vietor
I thought it was a good interview. Vietor made good points about how people on the ground in Benghazi were referencing the video.
I think the "two years ago" part is about Vietor trying to remember who made what particular edits. And yes, it is pretty crazy that we're still arguing over talking points almost two years later.

Well, that wasn't something I'd call a seminar, although they said afterwards it would be very helpful if I was arrested.
The seminar I'm talking about was just plain civilian. The guy was like a mindreader or maybe a "palm reader." He picked out a few people and described them to a tee. Since I'm so cynical these days, I won't dismiss the possiblity he'd researched those people already. However, every clue he gave about facial expressions rang true with my experience.

What do you think of him saying newspapers in the ME told Rice what to say.....right after he eluded to just how controlled the messaging for talking points is?

Since those guys can access all my activity on the web, I'd like to see the day when all politicos who do an interview on TV be wired to a polygraph and have a moving graph box at the bottom of the screen showing their physiological reactions.
Take pity on this guy though folks. He hasn't been in DC long enough to be a practiced liar. Another 20 years and he'll be a Senator from Mass.

I think he's referring to all of the news agencies in the ME and around the world reporting things such as:

Ahram - 9.11.12
An American staff member of the U.S. consulate in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi has died following fierce clashes at the compound, Libyan security sources said on Wednesday.
"One American staff member has died and a number have been injured in the clashes," Abdel-Monem Al-Hurr, spokesman for Libya's Supreme Security Committee, said, adding that he did not know the exact number of injured and could not say what the cause of death was.
An armed mob protesting over a film they said offended Islam, attacked the US consulate in the Libyan city of Benghazi on Tuesday and set fire to the building, witnesses reported.
The attack happened on the same day as a similar group of hardliners waving black banners attacked the US embassy in Cairo and tore down the US flag, but it was not immediately clear if the two incidents were coordinated.
The protests came on the eleventh anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, when US cities were targeted by hijacked planes.
"Demonstrators attacked the US consulate in Benghazi. They fired shots in the air before entering the building," Libya's deputy interior minister, Wanis al-Sharif Sharif, who is in charge of the country's eastern region, told AFP.
"Dozens of demonstrators attacked the consulate and set fire to it," said a Benghazi resident, who only gave his name as Omar, adding that he had seen the flames and heard shots in the vicinity.
Contacted by AFP, a US State Department official in Washington said US officials were still seeking information about the situation in Benghazi.
Asked whether the attack in Libya and the earlier demonstration against the US mission in Egypt could be connected, the official said it was unclear yet if the protests had been coordinated.
Another Libyan witness said armed men had closed the streets leading up to the consulate, among them ultra-conservative Salafists.

Reuters 9.11.12
(Reuters) - Gunmen attacked U.S. consulate offices in Libya's eastern city of Benghazi on Tuesday, and fought with security forces in protest against a U.S. film they say is blasphemous, a security official said.
He said a fire was burning inside the consulate and that staff had been evacuated.
A Reuters reporter saw three injured members of the Libyan security forces taken away in an ambulance. A Libyan security official who declined to be named said one U.S. security guard was injured in the clashes.
The incident followed a protest in neighboring Egypt where demonstrators scaled the walls of the U.S. embassy, tore down the American flag and burned it during a protest over what they said was a film that insulted Prophet Mohammad.
"There are fierce clashes between the Libyan army and an armed militia outside the U.S. consulate," said Abdel-Monen Al-Hurr, spokesman for Libya's Supreme Security Committee.
"The American security guards inside the building fired at the militia as they were trying to enter and attack it."
He said roads had been closed off and security forces were surrounding the building. He said the clashes were outside the consulate building.
"There is a connection between this attack and the protests that have been happening in Cairo," Hurr said.
"They are trying to take advantage of the security situation in Libya and cause more instability in the country."
Although it was not clear which film prompted the protests, Egypt's prestigious Al-Azhar mosque and seat of Sunni learning on Tuesday condemned a symbolic "trial" of the Prophet organized by a U.S. group including Terry Jones, a Christian pastor who triggered riots in Afghanistan in 2010 by threatening to burn the Koran.
According to the website www.standupamericanow.org, Jones and others were due to take part in an event on Tuesday - the anniversary of the September 11 attacks by al Qaeda on U.S. cities - called "International Judge Mohammad Day" in Florida. It was due to be carried live on the Internet.
Some activists had mentioned Jones in calls for a protest.
In Benghazi, Reuters reporters at the scene said they could hear shooting and had heard an explosion from inside the closed-off area. Rising smoke could also be seen.
A U.S. embassy source said there had been "an attack" on the diplomatic office in Benghazi, but gave no further details.

Of course we now know that the Libyan officials that were making statements quoted in these articles were operating with some bad info. And we know many of these articles were considered by the CIA analysts, among other things. This I think was a major factor in screwing up the accuracy of the talking points.
