BREAKING:Shooting Reported at Pearl Harbor Military Base

Shooting Reported at Pearl Harbor Military Base

Reports of the shooting at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam came in around 2:30 p.m. local time.
It was not immediately clear if anyone had been injured. A woman who answered the phone at the base said it had been placed on lockdown.

Hawaii is 5 hrs behind the east coast, so it would have been 7:30PM east coast time. It's such a beautiful, sacred place.

My money's on the Germans, though.
ETA:
Darkhorse is that Hank Johnson had the Navy order a carrier group to tow Guam around to check its floatation status, and the battleship chains broke unexpectedly, thus inadvertently causing Guam to ram into Oahu.

It's crazy, man. You can still see damage out there at Pearl Harbor, Schofield Barracks, and Wheeler Airfield. Angers me to think about that shite.

EVERY American child should go to Pearl Harbor, watch the (very well made) documentary, stand above the Arizona, and read the names on that stark white wall. Words cannot describe the feelings.....

Took my wife and 5 year old there last March, did all the Tourist events, movie, and even Helicopter tour above Ford island. Just an incredible adventure that blew me away. They still bury cremated remains of veterans in the Arizona, even today, if they wish...

wife's dad was on the Arz. till a few weeks b4 the bombing, moved to the base post office till new orders came thru, her uncle was also there at the time as well as his wife.
