Define crisis? Would about immigration is creating a crisis. These people aren't taking your jobs. We're at 4.5% unemployment, which is functionally 0% They are overwhelming a net benifit to society. Our birth rate is decreasing while we exist in an economic system that neccesitates infinite growth. Hell, ICE is using IRS info to track down "undocmented" people, meaning they are paying taxes. Sure, having subset of population not on record can cause small problems. We can address that by making the legal immigration process more reasonable, but not a single one of you or your dipshit politicians want to talk about legal immigration reform.
You will not find a single respected Economics Journal that doesnt advocate for large scale immigration.
That all aside, calling it a "crisis' while you all ignore our real problems is laughable. Income disparity is the worst that its ever been. The American buying power is the lowest its ever been. Buying a house is currently less affordable than it was in the Great Depression. The corporate interests who run this country are just distracting you from their hoarding. They want you to be steaming mad at anyone but them. "OH look at those immigrants, they are ILLEGAL!" "Oh look at the democrats, they support GAY PEOPLE." "Look ar all these people not like you, they are the enemy! I couldnt be the enemy because I'm white and say that im christian" .They want you to hate our government so that its as weak as possible as its the only tool we have to fight back. "The government is so corrupt", we'll who they frick do you think is corrupting the government? Its not illegal immigrants or poor people.

Maybe we should revisit our legal immigration process so we can get these children into America where they will be safer and have a shot at prosperity".

Someone mentioned that segment was from Jan and it starts to break down when you get into the nitty gritty like family separation and folks that have been here working for decades. The fact is most folks havent really thought that hard about the issue and the consequences either way. As time goes on and various loony factions join the fray and the violence ratchets up IDK which way the public will go.
