Literally anyone with any subject matter experience and half an hour could come up with a better long term solution to the drug problem. Luckily this is just Trump being Trump (spitballing), because it’s a fantastically stupid idea.

If we're going to consider the death penalty for anything outside of murder cases, I want it for pedophiles and child abusers first. Then let's deal with the speedy execution of sentences for murderers who aren't possibly innocent. Then let's talk about executing criminally insane murderers who can never be released anyway. Then maybe let's discuss drug traffickers.

Yeah, because “give em the death penalty” is a real fricking humdinger of a solution.
Step 1: Reschedule Marijuana to more accurately reflect the dangers of use (so basically make it legal, since it’s less harmful than tobacco and alcohol). Research really begins at this point.
Even that alone is a better long term plan.
