The transcripts show that Papadopoulos and the source had lunch on Oct. 23, 2016, with another friend, identified as “Omar.” Six days later, Papadopoulos and the source again met for lunch before visiting a casino in the Chicago area, according to the transcripts.
Papadopoulos now questions why Wiseman offered him a burner phone, a pre-paid phone that is typically not registered in the name of the user. Papadopoulos wondered: Did the FBI intend to plant the phone with a recording device to monitor Papadopoulos’s phone calls? Or to paint him as engaging in deceptive behavior?

Okay that’s really interesting but that article is poorly written. A bit hard to follow.
One thing I noticed is that Pap says LMAO in response to the burner phone suggestion. By the article says he told the reporter that he didn’t ever see Wiseman’s messages. Check me on that.

The fbi would probably have made him out to be planning an escape, deem him a flight risk requested no bond to hold him in jail.

fricking idiot. There is no such thing as a true "burner phone". The phone location can be triangulated through cell towers. If they were following him that closely, which they probably were, all they would have to know is a general location to isolate for records. Nice try,but weak bait on their part.
I bet the guy also offered to show him how to make a suppressor out of a oil filter or how to make an insert to convert a semi auto AR to full auto.
