The drill was scheduled for tomorrow. We got a notification like on Thurs. or Fri. that we'd have a drill sometime this week. So when the active shooter alert came out today, people thought it was the drill even though the computer alerts said it wasn't a drill. They finally had to announce over the intercom in our build that the drill was going to be tomorrow, and that this wasn't a drill. Talk about horrible timing.

Watching the local news conference right now.
NO SHOTS WERE FIRED. No one had a gun. Someone got spooked, thought they saw a gun, called 911, then the rumor mill took over.

This could have been a test to see if they had a leak within. Common practice to weed out moles. Not saying they meant for it to blow up this big.
