sounds like you have scientific evidence to substantiate this

I only consider those who have sex with others of their sex to be homosexual. If you have never had sex, you aren't any kind of "__sexual" is all I'm saying.

your grandfather is rolling in his grave...
No, he really isn't. He took on that troop specifically to get those boys ready for war - he knew it was coming. What I was going through in the 70s had very little in common with what he was doing. My father used to go out with them in the 30s, although he wasn't technically old enough to be a boy scout. He followed my time in the scouts and agreed that we could do better.

That said, my first scoutmaster was an EMT, and my First Aid merit badge actually meant something to me, as it was very difficult to achieve - as opposed to most of the other ones.

I'm pretty certain what he was doing would not have been approved at the national level. Grandpa wasn't exactly a model citizen, he just saw the war coming and wanted to prepare those boys to survive it. He was training soldiers, not really doing the scout oath type stuff and helping little old ladies cross the street. This was in the middle of the Great Depression up in the Northeast, people didn't seem to waste as much time with bullshite back then, they were too concerned with finding food and shelter, and just surviving.

Lol. Is that why there is a scout group called the We Blows? (Webelo)

That's really gay. Lol, "faith based activities". When I was in the scouts, I can't recall a single time God was even brought up other than as a singlw word in the scout oath.

I plan to try scouts with my son. Hopefully they are around in a few years when he is old enough. Don’t really care about any of the BS diversity shite as long as we can spend some quality outdoor bonding time together.

In fact; if the people that have left the organization are representative of the shite heads on this board celebrating this then all the better.

I hope you do give it a try. The quality of the boys that complete the entire program to Eagle are usually guys of very high character with a great work ethic and leadership skills that gives them such an advantage over people their own age. Having "Eagle Scout" on a job resume or a college application is almost always an enhancement.

To really get the most out of it is for the parents to be involved. Unfortunately, I see a lot of these younger parents drop their kids of, sit in a corner and get on the cell phones (at the cub scout level) rather than helping the adult volunteers to make the child's experience better. Believe, a boy will remember if his mom and dad were down on the floor helping with an activity or sitting on your butts doing Facebook.

When they become Boy Scouts they don't want you around as much because it isn't as "cool"...but you still work with them in in their advancement to teach them how to finish things they start.

Nothing is more satisfying than seeing your child receive meaningful awards and advancement ranks for completing significant tasks. The amount of pride and self esteem it creates in a child and a parent is priceless.

We had a prayer before every meeting.

The whole reason the Boy Scouts started allowing girls was because they were in financial trouble. It was their last ditch effort and it didn't work. Unfortunately the Boy Scouts was a dying organization long before they allowed openly gay scout masters and girls.

I'm an Eagle as well.

It's sad, watching what has become of the organization. But then, who couldn't see this coming from miles away when BSA began bending the knee to the SJWs years ago?

It's the MO of the modern left. Take all that's traditionally conservative, successful and wholesome, infiltrate it, remove the definitions that made it successful, conservative and wholesome, watch it burn, then move on to the next.

I thank GOD I grew up in the times I did, with the Scouts to help counter some of the bad choices I made/would have made. I'd be a very different person without what BSA did for me, and it's a tragedy what progressives have done to BSA

All of this.
