I was an eagle scout and so were all my brothers.
My son will not be joining boy scouts. We're going to look at some of the faith based alternatives, or just do camping alone.

Liberals ruin everything. Their view here would be damn the history and what good Scouts has accomplished in the past but because Scouts werent promoting the liberal agenda then they must accept them. If it fails then libs view that as something that shouldnt have existed anyway.
Could you imagine if faith based communities tried to infiltrate LGBT orgs and ruin them? They would be labeled racists, bigots and run out of town.

I'm glad I never got my son involved in the organization. All of their stupidity really kicked into the gear about the same time he would have started Cub Scouts.

As an Eagle Scout, this makes me sad.
Scouting was one of the things I credit in my youth that taught me how to be a grown up. Responsibility, long term goals, compassion for others, learning practical skills that I still use to this day, and teamwork are hallmarks of the Scouts.
Granted those skills can be learned anywhere, learning them in a group and having organized fun events and camps made it even better. My dad would take off a few days and come out to the woods with us. Fond memories.
I will try to get my boy into scouting, but if he doesn't want to (or if it is dead by then), I will be teaching him myself.

Progressives, along with our foreign enemies, cheer as another American institution that helps turn boys into strong men is destroyed.
The intent is never diversity. The intent is to destroy.

I'm an Eagle as well.
It's sad, watching what has become of the organization. But then, who couldn't see this coming from miles away when BSA began bending the knee to the SJWs years ago?
It's the MO of the modern left. Take all that's traditionally conservative,successful and wholesome, infiltrate it, remove the definitions that made it successful, conservative and wholesome, watch it burn, then move on to the next.
I thank GOD I grew up in the times I did, with the Scouts to help counter some of the bad choices I made/would have made. I'd be a very different person without what BSA did for me, and it's a tragedy what progressives have done to BSA
