Not necessary, change the drug war and our homicide rate would be "normal."

But you would rather give this money and power to the cartels, who you will never defeat.

Anyone got the stats on drug addition rates since we started the war on drugs?

There's the crux. What is the "normal" rate of child abuse, neglect, and or abandonment among the drug addicted? What is the "normal" rate at which the addicted fail to adequately care for their children, requiring taxpayer dollars to provide for (really their addiction) those children?

What is the "normal" rate of overdose, when all drugs are legal for 345 million Americans?

What is the "normal" rate of crimes perpetrated on other Americans in order to buy drugs, when all drugs are legal for 345 million Americans?

What is the "normal" rate of vehicular deaths, when all drugs are legal for all Americans?

Since the drug war has been a total failure, you should be able to find that info right now.

Thee drug war hasnt stopped anyone from using. It just pushes the money to the cartels instead of businessmen.

Its fact. Between prison and death, the drug war is more costly than freedom.

Move those goal posts to include prison now?

Of course you hate freedom, dont you?

You aren’t very smart. I never opined on the war on drugs. I simply pointed out that you made a stupid comment. We do this all the time. You say something stupid….I point it out….and you assign some argument to me that I never made. It’s a sign of your limited capacity.

Making drugs legal doesn't work any better,

Youre trying to save people that shouldn't be saved, slick. Its going to be very expensive for you.

Prohibition does not work. I dont know why this is so hard for you.

You’re just not very bright. Your vocabulary is so limited you cannot accurately describe your point….or you opined from a place of complete ignorance. Don’t care which…just proves I was correct in pointing out the stupidity of your statement. No biggie. It will happen again. You provide lots of opportunities.

You have a vivid imagination. I'm trying to close a ridiculously porous border, which allows crime, drugs, human trafficking, and criminal illegals into our country with impunity. If we put our military to use, actually protecting Americans instead of protecting Europeans from their largest trading partner, we might just find that Mexico puts in a little work in order to get that border back open before their country collapses completely. What Mexico can't or won't do to destroy the cartels, we can easily do with our military.

If you fully secure the border, you don't have to go to war against the cartels, but if your plans are to go to war against the cartels, don't announce it.

They can pop up all they want. If they can't get it across the border, then we aren't dealing with the problems they create.

You think the border is the limiting factor?

What does economics tell you about a 150b market?

Non reprise to my question. It was very clear. Do you think the Mexican cartels are not limited by a secure border? That’s the conversation we are having. I know you say stupid shite and get called out so you have to shift the argument….but try to focus dummy.

And your question is so broad it is meaningless. Good Lord you’re an idiot.

Full military

We wouldn’t need anywhere close to the full military to disable the cartels completely if we had the will to do it. I did my second deployment in HUMINT with JSOC and imo a few ranger intel battalions, delta force, and support from places like the DEA and FBI could wipe them all out if we wanted. Could also use the navy off the coast of Mexico to provide air support and missiles. That’s all it would take coupled with strong cooperation with domestic agencies to prevent counterattacks inside our country since they’re in all 50 states already.
