are you suggesting they inherited that
Much of it, yes.

Neither of these people are Boomers nor is George Steinbrenner, as somebody mentioned earlier.

Well, when you factor in that most of that number is going to be generational wealth passed down through families, then you consider the interest made off off he inheritances, it would probably be much more than half.

Utterly ignorant and wrong.

they keep churning out shitty boomer politicians
"Boomers" voted for Reagan. They voted for the first GOP-controlled House in 4 decades.
But you keep being you.

Yes Boomers also gave us Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama. What a list of winners.

Much of it, yes.

Wait until you realize that less than 10% of people own 80% of that wealth, then your mind is going to be blown.

Do your homework next time.
quote:
In winning reelection, Barack Obama won 60% of the vote among those younger than 30. That was down somewhat from 2008, when Obama won nearly two-thirds (66%) of the votes of young people. However, Obama's youth support may have been an even more important factor in his victory this year than it was in 2008.
quote:
The divide between young voters and older voters was as stark this year as it was in 2008. While Obama lost ground among voters younger than 30, he still won this age group by 24 points over Mitt Romney (60% to 36%). He also maintained a slimmer advantage among voters 30 to 44 (52% Obama, 45% Romney), while losing ground among those 45 to 64 and those 65 and older.

By far the least educated generation in our country. The world has passed them by. And they cling to power And they keep churning out shitty boomer politicians that vote for the boomer’s best interest while face fricking the rest of the country. (Pelosi, Schumer, McConnel, the Clintons, the Bush’s and on and on and on)
The least educated? You put too much stock in cultural Marxist indoctrination via higher education. Most of the Boomers I know would destroy the typical college indoctrinated Marxist under age 50 in a general knowledge test.

The Boomers are the ones that ran up all the debt.

For context on the enormous size of the wealth being transferred as people die, consider that in 2018 Cerulli forecasted a $68 trillion 25-year wealth transfer, and in 2011, that total wealth transfer was a mere $38 trillion.

We just moved my 84 y/o mom into a retirement apartment and are in the process of an estate sale and selling her home. Over the years, we moved her house into my brother and my name and both received about $60k each.
She will be spending about $1k per month out of savings to support her having a crap-load of fun in the retirement home. We are using the money under her name first, then what my brother and I have. Based on my calculations, she has money for between 12 and 14 years.
Her and my dad (deceased) helped put my brother and me through college and gave all their time to my brother and me. [Dad worked 42 years in a plant; 26 years on third shift so he could sleep while we were in school and work while we were asleep.) If mom uses every last dime until it runs out, she deserves to enjoy every dime.
My in-laws apparently don’t trust their kids enough to preserve their money, which is their prerogative but sort of sad.

We all have money the government wants. That's why there is an Infernal Revenue Service.
