I no longer apologize to Godwin for saying the Left have adopted the mindset and great many tactics that lead to the rise of Nazism in the 30's.

so instead of brandishing it letting the fools know you are armed and ready knowing then they wont go in you wait until they beat down the door and blast a few away...yea this doesnt make sense at all...but hell nothing has in 2020

Except you have multiple cases like Rittenhouse and events where police do not take appropriate measures to subdue a suspect who is obviously uncooperative for fear of illegal prosecution. The result ends up in the violent instigators’ death and the person defending their life charged with murder. Maybe lawsuits should be filed against DAs and mayors who are preventing law enforcement and law abiding citizens from adequately defending themselves and effectively de-escalating these situations.

This is terrifying. Can’t even defend yourself in your own home.

Twilight Zone.

Except courts have ruled that LEO have no legal duty to actually stop crimes in action. If they have no such duty, how can you have grounds to sue?

frick around and find out.

IIRC, a lot of gun control laws were supposedly tied to preventing blacks from being able to defend themselves in a lot of areas.

Where are the 2 renowned "lawyers" on this board. Surely the law is in favor of the mob and "cops" on this one.

Or because they are violating the Bill of Rights, 2nd Amendment. The idea was not so we could have a quaint gun collection. The idea was we can have guns for protection...in part from dangerous people. And also from tyranny.

If they aren’t required to do anything, what lets them give the mobs a heckler’s veto by arresting their target?

Being required by law/duty and being authorized by law are two totally separate things.

If the police wants to lose support from the rest of us, this is the right track to do so.

These cops just cost the city a lot of money. Lawyers have to be calling him left and right.

I’m talking about sufficient force to subdue a suspect to prevent harm to officers, the public, and the suspect themselves in instances where the suspect is uncooperative to avoid escalation. They are fearful of doing so due to policies created by mayors and city councils and enforced by DAs. That is creating potentially deadly situations that should never reach that point.
