Dude was framed by Deep State propagandists down to the term McCarthyism, which originated in the freaking Daily Worker.
Yup.
The original FDR / Truman Commie-Globalist-DS termites that infested both the DoJ and State Dept since. NOBODY STEPPED UP to help McCarthy.
If the de-infestation succeeded at that time, history would have obviously been changed big time. But framing, cowardice, threats and blackmail (as today) prevailed.

I highly recommend Ann Coulter's book on McCarthy,
TREASON...great writing style. About 70 pages of footnotes at the end documenting all the sources.

This goes back longer than you think.
Deep dive Sacco and Vanzetti.
Fast overview. Both were anarchist Italian immigrants. They killed two men during an armed robbery attempt on April 15, 1920. They were trying to obtain finances for a terrorist leftist anarchist group. Found guilty on July 14, 1921, and executed August 23, 1927.
They were and still are darlings of the left. Intelligencia like H. G. Wells, George Bernard Shaw, and Upton Sinclair, future Supreme Court Justice (FDR) and Harvard Law professor Felix Frankfurter, the Industrial Workers of the World, and the American Federation of Labor.
Strikes and violent protests were organized around the word, claiming that the men were unfairly persecuted because of their ethnicity and political beliefs!
On August 23, 1977—the 50th anniversary of the executions—Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis (and future DNC candidate for president) issued a proclamation that Sacco and Vanzetti had been unfairly tried and convicted and that "any disgrace should be forever removed from their names".
BUT! They were guilty as sin.
Also check out Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, Harry Hopkins, and Alger Hiss, all Soviet spies during the time of FDR and McCarthy.

Then other commies came out of the woodwork to defend them.
Their entrenchment was so slickly accomplished even into the highest reaches of the State Department, but it found its most accepting, receptive homes in media and academia.
The trial of Alger Hiss for espionage revealed just some of it.
The man who went on to conceptualize what would be our approach to public education in this country - John Dewey - actually offered himself at the trial as a "character reference" for Hiss.
But that was after he acted in the capacity of personal patron and sponsor for the little cabal out of the Institute of Social Research to come here and work their magic at undermining this nation.
In effect, attesting to their good character and intentions toward this country as potential future American citizens.
So we were getting them into the country in heaps and loads, because of our own naiveness and lack of sophistication and vigilance.
Speaking of a lack of sophistication and judgment, during the Hiss trial we even had a President - Harry Truman - who was so smitten by the genteel, smooth exterior of Hiss, he called his prosecution "a red herring."
Anyone still wonders how we've arrived at this untenable position three generations later.

I remember when the Soviet Union fell and we had access to a lot of the KGB files that is was shown that many if not most of the people he was going after were working with the KGB.

Wow. Did NOT know that about Truman. BRUTAL.
So either Truman was just as bamboozled by the media propaganda and ignorant as anyone else by the anti-McCarthy gaslighting...OR...dayum-well knew the truth and was onboard the Commie-Globalism Express machination and goal to slowly euthanize our nation and USCON.

Even the "better education" -- Catholic School, eh?
It's been demonstrated that for at least the last 50 years the NEA (directed by the Powers-That-Be to advance their agenda) have been "teaching" us NOTHING BUT lies, propaganda, mis-direction, mis-information and dis-information.
The primary subjects of interest intended to hard-wire all our programming and indoctrination since grade school:
1) Political and Social Science
2) History
3) Earth and Space Science (yes, that too)
