I agree,they should be given the chance to "Go Back to Africa" The whole slavery thing is a "black" mark on a mostly sqeaky clean record of America. But we fought a Civil War to end slavery and the nation healed (I thought). We cannot deny that blacks were kidnapped from their tribes, loaded on slave ships, brought here and sold as slaves. Unquestionably, a great wrong. Some freed slaves choose to return to Africa. Seriously, for those who are open to this maybe you blacks would be happier in your country of origin.

I mean we whites, of European origin, migrated to America from Europe, why not let blacks migrate back to Africa? Actually, my ancestors didn't migrate here, just like you blacks, my ancestors were forceably removed from their homes, loaded on British ships and scattered all over the world. The British even loaded some of my ancestors on ships and brought them to a barren forsaken treeless place called the Faulkland Islands. How anybody can live on that barren place and keep his sanity is beyond me.

Luckily my direct ancestor eventually found a home in a mosquito alligator infested sub-tropical place called Louisiana. The irony - the British attempted to invade Louisiana at New Orleans during the War of 1812, whereupon General Andrew Jackson whopped them bad - even killed the British Commanding General. He defeated them with a ragtag army of Tennessee riflemen, Creoles, Freed Slaves, Italian migrants. and Pirates. But I digress.

Life moves on, my ancestors prospered, learned to cook, and laugh. But every Sunday morning they gathered to worship the God that had gotten them through persecution, unimagined hardship and suffering. Fast forward to my age, we lived with blacks among us, we all got along (hint: we love their Zydeco music). Hey, life gives you lemons, make lemonaide.

But you blacks should have a right to migrate out of here if you so desire. I hear the Republic of Liberia is accepting immigrants.

They've had centuries to learn that but somehow it's never sunk in.
