Washington Compost article

I remember in the military we used that hand sign while guiding a vehicle to tell the driver to stop, but yeah, lets salute a fictional nationalist ethnostate.

Is wakanda the beginning of a black nationalist movement that brings black people to another land to start a new nation?

I bet historical Pan-Africanism figures like Marcus Garvey would be jealous that a comic book movie has accomplished more in a month than they did in their entire careers.

Only bothers me in sense that I don't understand why people take pride in fictional things when there are actual things in which to take pride. I felt the same way when the UN made Wonderwoman the symbol of female empowerment. It's stupid and a bit insulting.

I saw a white kid do that on the bball court Saturday morning. We showed him a little thing or two about appropriating our fictional homeland.

What bothers me is that they'll kneel for the US national anthem, but then salute a fictional country. Disgraceful.

The ones taking pride in this fictional country are probably only set to be successful in athletics, not academics.

I think Wakanda is wonderful and I support any group that wants to achieve the same for its people.

Just think, Wakanda is a nation that:

-stresses the importance of fatherhood.

-highlights the pain of lost heritage.

-emphasizes the need for strong families.

-pays tribute to the power of tradition.

-favors national sovereignty over one-world governments.

-celebrates masculinity.

-sticks it to Marxist revolutionary psychopaths.

I mean what is not to like about those values!

Why wouldn't black people be more interested in doing tangable things that would actually help their race instead of meaningless symbolic gestures?
Here are two things that would help immediately.
Stop having kids out of wedlock. Start stressing education instead of mocking it.

But wouldn't that be cultural appropriation since it was created by a couple of white guys?
