That’s why I labeled it a nit, not all Russians were Soviets (using the term as the communist/socialists) many just wanted to live and were trapped under a repressive regime, and not all Soviets were Russian.

Could it be manipulation by entertainment media? Perhaps they don’t want everyone thinking about by OBL too much. Dunno.
Side note: Considering how our country decided to radically change itself after 9/11 it could be argued that Bin Landen was one of the more influential individuals for America.
