To be fair, you should.

People should donate their money to church and to the poor and actively use their resources to help those in need.

The government should not mandate that but society should encourage it.

To whom much is given, much is expected. Be careful if you wish for wealth for with it comes the responsibility and expectations of how to manage it.

I don’t have an issue with any of this. I agree with much of it.

But I’m not going to get out there and tell you how YOU should spend YOUR money, either. That’s crossing a line.

I wouldnt. I give too much to my own detriment.

But its none of her business what people do with their money. She was obviously trying to bitch slap Zuck rhetorically.

My entire point in this thread.

People are always saying how much better the world would be if we all looked out for each other. While superficially that may be true, the real truth is, the world would be a better place if more people just minded their own damn business. Tended to their own backyard.

And meanwhile recently Zuck quietly gave away $2.2BB and has pledged to give away 99% of his fortune before he dies.

And how many literal multimillionaires has Zuck created with his companies? Hundreds? Thousands?

Who has Ellish helped besides herself and the random dude who’s girlfriend finally decided to give it up after listening to Ellish promote promiscuity

Bill Gates gave a ton of his money away.

Turns out it was to a charity that he controlled that his family got paid salaries from. The money in the charity was invested and the value grew over time.

So until I see the details of where her money actually went, color me skeptical as to whether the donation was beyond self interest.

I’d love to hear the narrative flip after all the billlionairs donate their fortunes to right leaning causes and the JD Vance superpac. Suddenly it will be an existential crisis that all billionaires need to horde their wealth.

An idiot like her can live comfortably on a million or two. Why doesn't she give the rest of it away?

What charity?

What if it is her charity that she set up and is running for the benefit of her family members so that she gets a right off and they all get rich?

Not charities. Causes. Climate change and food equity. Climate change donations entail throwing loads of cash to the Climate Change gods asking for forgiveness (Al Gore gets his cut). Food equity is making sure you give more free food to poor (minorities) people than they are already getting. Apparently, they don't receive enough free stuff.

A real charity is St. Jude.
