He's a rich guy with nothing else better to do. He's to the wealth level where he feels guilty for having that much money so he's taking on existential projects to atone for his wealth.
The problem is that he's used to people agreeing and kissing his arse so he doesn't like it when people tell him to frick off while he's convinced what he's doing is "the right thing" because he thinks people are too dumb understand.

Why would you even know that garbage is on or watch it? It’s a TV show that wants eyeballs on it. They’re going to keep doing it if people keep watching it.
