He’s changed his tune bc he is tied to AI and data centers. These data centers use enough power for 50 houses. The current electric grid can’t handle the new power workload for these AI data centers

Trillions of dollars stolen and now they want to move on. Just like Covid.

I bet the solution involves a lot of money coming from US taxpayers, and not much coming from Bill Gates personal fortune.

Where I do disagree is that man has played such a large role that we need to limit everyone's energy use, curtail economies and resort to eating bugs or else we'll all die of Cat 8 hurricanes by 2050.
I think we're all in agreement with this.

Unfortunately, the doomsday outlook is causing much of the climate community to focus too much on near-term emissions goals, and it’s diverting resources from the most effective things we should be doing to improve life in a warming world.
Why is Gates only now coming around to this and acting like it is some brilliant new perspective or something?

100 to 150 years out of 4.5 billion. Which most of that 4.5 was not compatible with life. You got better odds at winning the Powerball.

I affected the climate. I planted a tree. But I also cut down a tree. I affected the climate. See how that works? Why don’t you spend your time pouring cold water on a volcano. They emit more CO2 than anything close to what humans do.
