Barr is political. Justice is not the goal.

If Trump had given up all the documents when the government ask for the property of the government back then there would be no political fuel for this fire.
It was a stupid battle for any politician to fight.

Understood. Nor were they his predecessors since 1978. Do his actions rise to the level of a criminal investigation, in your opinion?

Trust no one. Not even Barr
Posted on 11/19/22 at 5:22 pm to BBONDS25
It doesn’t matter what happened in the past. It doesn’t matter my opinion or yours. What matters is the law and if he opened the door to the indictment by breaking the law. In Barr’s experienced opinion he likely did.
If Trump asked anyone for advice on whether to refuse to give up all the documents or not and he followed that advice he should fire that person. I suspect he made the stupid decision on his own and now his political opponents are going to pound him and his loyal followers are going to expend time and energy trying to defend him on something that never had to an issue.

Of course it doesn't cause of your TDS. And I'm sure the "past doesn't matter" reasoning will be used when people start to say that everything that Biden takes must be vetted first, cause that should be the new process if a President doesn't have the right to make the decisions on his own.

They are going for obstruction. Turley believes Trump could be at some risk.

And what crime would he be prosecuted for this?

Keep legitimizing our trash institutions. Just keep doing it

Ok. What crime do you allege? Specifically?

I can't find it. But Barr also spoke of his specialty communist infiltration into govt and said we are watching it.
So he was like a light switch. But his protection of the appointment of Mueller and then all the democrats Mueller chose gave him away. And then Durham for the FBI cover up
They only do, or say what they believe is just enough to get by with.
According to the claims made by the emerging CVSA technology: "the voice timbre and pattern will tell."
Voice analysis, CVSA, detects lying or attempts at deception by measuring micro tremors in the lessening or diminution of the FM frequency in the voice prints.
Micro tremors are tiny frequency modulations in the human voice.
When a test subject is lying, the automatic or involuntary nervous system causes an inaudible increase in the Micro tremors' frequency.
The technology detects, measures, and displays changes in the voice frequency.
The number of criminal investigators preferring it over lie detectors is growing, although neither are admissible in court.
Am sure if it ever took hold, that some "sophisticates" would holler about it's constitutionality.
Almost immediately the technology was called pseudoscience by the Left because it could be on to something that they have absolutely no stomach for.
As they also bitch and whine and posture against facial recognition as a tool against criminals, which they consider racist.
Wouldn't mind seeing the technology achieve enough status that it could be used on anyone applying for political office - and monitor them especially during key utterances on critical policy.
Again, how the glorified intellectual elite can't avoid revealing themselves - just through their speech, including Merrick Garland.
Just listening to Garland's "forceful" announcement.
It couldn't have come through any more clearly that he really doesn't believe in this new crusade, and that he's aware that even the most anti-Trump dullard knows this is nothing more than another contrived method attempted - not to convict - but solely to chip away more at Trump's image in the hope that if they can't prevent him from running again to at least damage him enough where he can't win.
Did you hear him stutter during his announcement? A dead giveaway.
The contrived, specially crafted theatrics continue.
This "special counsel (prosecutor)" just happens to have a resume that includes prosecutorial experience at The Hague.
Anyone really believes that this is coincidence?
Juxtaposing that international criminal court with Trump just enough to stir the worst images in the minds of particularly the sophisticated academics and others whom they know will salivate over their effort - that Trump is, if nothing else, an international criminal by proxy.
Garland's announcement was done in very much the same manner as Latoya James when she announced that she was launching another investigation into Trump's "criminal" activities in New York.
In the same manner and tone as Garland that she really didn't believe what she was about to embark on would result in anything she and her bunch wanted, but it was "the optics" they were attempting to get the most bang from. And just like all the others, she threw snake-eyes.
As with Garland in that he's also well aware that even those in Trump's own party who are against him, and those outside among the masses recognize that it's nothing more than another contrivance crafted for optics and political effect; something he is being commanded to do from somewhere up-the-line "on-high".
Wonder what it's like for someone to have to face the embarrassment that he's not his own man, and is totally subject to the whim/caprice of entrenched bureaucrats above him.
How does that bunch in D.C. - including the Republicans - face their children.
Does it take any degree of acuity to surmise exactly where up-the-line "on high" is?
It's not necessarily the mental defective himself.
Garland is under the thumb, in the clutches of, and being commanded by the same types who plot/plan every waking minute of Biden.
The same types who held sway over and were the "handlers" of Obama.
It's still going to be entertaining vaudeville while watching them throw snake-eyes again.

SC's have a habit of looking for one thing and finding another. Lewinsky started off as an investigation of the Whitewater land deal that went bad. Manafort got popped by Mueller because of taxes not associated with Trump.
My guess.....something having to do with Trump media and SPACs. Don Jr or Eric Trump gets popped first.

I'm truly beginning to think Barr is trolling the Left and NeverTrumpers with these statements.

They come right out with it, because they can. Who will stop them?
It seems the propaganda worked with 18 to 25 year olds.
They lie like rugs and are above reproach...

because the Fox producer invited him to. your ON CUE reads as if you saw him pop out of a cake and were sooo surprised.
all networks had their go to legal guests on offering ideas on the topic.
barr is clear. there is enough evidence made public to warrant indictment for both mishandling docs and espionage for withholding docs in his office.
