Just here to point out that if you taxed all the assets, not income, of American billionaires at 100% you could not fund the 5 trillion dollar spending bill proposed.

You non billionaires get to pay for it.

to the middle class.

ETA: There has not been one person come in here and refute the above statement. I consider it an admission that the opposing position is indefensible.

It’s sort of incredible to me that no one is discussing or seems to care about what Yellen said but then I remember we have a propaganda media and an ignorant populace.

Most of these billionaires already "hide" their money in their fraudulent "tax-exempt" foundations. So, most of that wealth will not be tax in any event.

If they really wanted to get to these billionaires, they would go after these SCAM private foundations.

And, if you have any doubt that they are complete f*cking SCAMS where the wealthy park their money to pay for their lavish lifestyles, all you have to do is look at the SCUMBAG Clintons.

One of the first things the Clintons did when Bill got out of office is to set up several of these scams. These foundations not only paid for their lavish lifestyles and funded sHitlary's campaigns, but it also made it very easy to funnel MILLIONS into that worthless piece of f*cking FILTH daughter they have. Several generations can live off of these private foundations where they "give" money in exchange for board memberships and other "perks" for the grantors.

They've really turned was what suppose to be charitable giving into a place to park their wealth, get bogus charitable deductions giving to each other's private foundations, and provide them and their family members with a lavish lifestyle.

We know ONE THING FOR F*CKING SURE -- the DNC front known as the IRS isn't going to do a DAMN F*CKING THING about all of these Democrat's money laundering scam.

I mean, in magical fairytale land, maybe.

I'm amazed at how many people say this with reckless abandon these days.

Added on for ya baw!

Farms and ranches are abused by wealthy people every year and it is not enforced.

Your hobby is not a tax deduction. I do not get to deduct my tennis and cycling expenses and your "ranch" that you and your buddies go shooting and drinking on should treated the same.

Yes, I am fricking mad.

Say goodbye to your 401k and IRA’s. The market is going to go to shite when they tax appreciation in investments (Unrealized Gains).

It’s the equivalent of the IRS sending you a notice because you didn’t pay a tax on your house gaining value.

There is a 100% chance this happens. Just look at the origins of the income tax. There were 2 brackets, only for top earners at a tax rate of 1 or 3%.

How'd that work out?

Poor analogy baw. Your personal residence is not taxed up to $250K/$500K.

Homeowners get a bill for this every year and we call it property taxes.

The URGL tax plan is hot garbage and should not pass but your analogy here is just as bad.

I really could not give less of a shite how billionaires are taxed. The problem is they never follow through with the "tax the billionaires!" rhetoric, it always ends up being stuck to people who earn like $200k a year and up.

When you sell it. AKA realized gains.

Not for the appreciation of it.
