Probably not because they just went out and bought a gun and ammo six months ago. But I do think they could cause the country to descend into chaos and civil war.
Meanwhile, people on the right tend to be people who were raised with guns as part of their culture and upbringing. They’ve been handling and shooting guns for decades and buying up ammo for years. I think they could do more damage than the left but whatever the case, once the conflict pops off significantly, the result would be bad.

I don't think either scenario would win win out considering there would have to be a nationalizing force on either side. I do thik that ultimately the "lib" rebellion would have a significant advantage over the "con" rebellion, although I am unsure of what the objective for either would be. In the "Trump" scenario, it would be to get rid of Trump and minions, so it would be fairly narrow. On the other side, the battle would be against "libs" or to stake out their own territory?

It would be interesting to brush up on some civil wars that were centered around similar dynamics: primarily political ideology (left v right) and, secondarily, demographics.
I’m thinking the Spanish Civil War may be the closest in similarity but that’s off the top of my head.

The military leadership has already established they would remove him by force if that was the case. Not only that, but he left a day prior to the inauguration.
