Honestly I do not think he is wrong if you look at the whole comment.

Typically if you look at some of the FOX News numbers FOX far exceeds what MSNBC and CNN combined is.

People on FOX are getting a different narrative than the left leaning narrative that is being produced by the other two networks.

Take the recent tax cut issue for instance...If you watch FOX News you hear a report how millions of people are going to benefit from the Trump Tax Cuts and if you listen to the others you will here how Millions will suffer under the Trump Tax Cuts.

Both are technically correct...FOX is reporting that some 200 million people will benefit while MSNBC is reporting that 100 million will be worse off.

So it is not that one side is lying it is just how each one wants to spin it. Each side comes from their own point of view.

I watched the interview last night on Letterman’s new show.
He never used the word deplorables nor did he give any value towards NPR or Fox’s truthfulness.

He was making the point that we all stay in our own echo chambers wihen it comes to social media. Google and Facebook know if you are a liberal or conservative and their algorithms will show you what you want to see, confirming your beliefs.

For once, I actually agree with him. My wife listens exclusively to NPR. She has no idea what is going on with the Russia investigation, Uranium One, or any of the corruption that is slowly being uncovered in DC.

If the folks in DC watch mostly, or exclusively, CNN and the networks or listen only to NPR in their cars, then, yes, it would seem that folks who get their news elsewhere are from another world. All of the networks have access to the same facts, but most of them (the liberal leaning ones) choose to not use facts which might make the Dems look bad.

Comparing Fox News and NPR is apples vs oranges. Fox/CNN/MSNBC-type programming dedicates 90% of their programming to political topics, mostly hot button issues.

NPR dedicates a large part of their shows to cultural items, ie. latest books, authors, science, etc. On Point, their morning news segment has certainly covered, at length, the Russian Investigation, Uranium One, etc. They usually get experts in the field "from both sides" and open their phone lines to inbound callers, usually getting a dose from both sides. Fox and CNN are both guilty of having straight up hacks delivering the opinion-based commentary on their shows.
