Bernie Sanders will not win the nomination. He has a hard core 25% of the Dems. But the rest of the 75% don't want him and his Socialism.

Once candidates drop out and its one on one, most of the Dems will gravitate to the other last candidate.

A lot. Like "a lot" a lot.

There is that whole 40 to 45 percent who pay nothing in income tax (or actually make money with it with EITC and the like), who don't care - or don't think they care. When their payroll taxes go up, though, they might care.

Check your math - Between him and Warren, the socialist/communist vote often hits 40% or better.

If Warren dropped out after NH and endorsed Bernie, it would probably be over right there. Bernie at least has energy and sincere, unflappable popular support behind him. There is only money behind #MayorCheat, Mini Mike and LOLSteyer. Warren and Biden have neither at the moment.

But, add Warren's numbers to Bernie's and it is over on that side.

because buying a pharma and then changing price from $20 to $600 to pay off your leveraged buyout is ok because capitalism.

I recall Joe Manchin's daughter jacking up the price of the EpiPens.

This election will tempt big pharma to produce propaganda so john q public accepts the eternal rule of money over compassion and decency.

Muh research.

Bloomberg may play a role.
He can counter "citizens united" 5-4 supreme court ruling letting company buy federal election.

What? This is excellent news.

Look, Bernie Sanders is not going to win the presidency. He’s just not. If he was electable, the Democrats would have latched on to him instead of trying to slow his momentum.

These big crowds that are soo enthusiastic for Bernie is going to severely pissed off when he is culled once more. That equals butts in chairs at home on Election Day. That means a larger rout than is already inevitable.

That is exactly what I said about Trump in the Spring of 2016.... Almost verbatim.

Yep. Bernie is the movement candidate. The only one that prompts at least half the excitement Trump does. He is the most dangerous candidate on the Left. Months of his touting giveaways is going to attract far more than boring Biden or Butt.

The question is, if Sanders can secure the nomination, does that big Democrat money fall in line behind him? For better or worse, money matters in American politics. Will Bloomberg run as a third party to protect democrat donor interests or will his hatred of Trump drive him to cast his lot in behind Bernie? A Sanders / Gabbard campaign with big money behind it scares me the most going into 2020.

Also, FWIW, I've spoken with a number of let's call them "Jimmy Dore" Bernie supporters who aren't caught up in all the #RESIST BS. Bernie getting cheated in 2016 opened many of their eyes to just how corrupt the whole system is. If the DNC undermines Sanders again, I think many of them will vote for Trump. They seem to believe, like me, that any populist is better than another establishment candidate.

All of this is true. Not sure why it's getting downvoted. Like it or not, Bernie has a viable solution to the healthcare issue that the majority of the world is using.

I'd love to have someone articulate the free market solution, but the Rs seem to want to dance around it. I suppose it's a hard balance between paying off big pharma and their constituents.

You could have said the same thing about Trump at this point in the process of 2016.
In fact, in regards to the Populist message Trump is so famous for, Sanders is the other side of the same coin.

Not Wall Street money. They've already passed the word. No Bernie. No Warren. They will either sit out or push that money downticket.

I'm a fan of what Trump is doing, but it's a band-aid. Drug costs should be rock bottom. Drugs should be dirt cheap. Even by that White House Chart, prices are still higher than they were in 2009.

The democrats aren't latching on him because he's antiestablishment. They still think that they can push through an establishment candidate :
