Home invasion in Louisiana seems like would be a very dangerous crime to commit.

Yet thousands of burglaries/car thefts ,etc...... occur in Louisiana because most burglars simply want your stuff & the object is to procure it when no one is home.

In most cases they aren't & more burglars steal homeowner guns than are shot by them.

On far fewer occasions the homeowner is home & surprises/gets the drop on the burglar...

Good.

If you knowingly enter a private property without just authorization and do so with the malicious intent of stealing property that does not belong to you, you should be shot on sight.

bullshite!

ONLY if a reasonable homeowner feels the threat of bodily injury or death from you!

(which they inevitably will if you try and sneak in through a bedroom window in the middle of the night - oh well sucka!)

Why in the world would I risk the wait to confirm if he actually wants to kill me?

If a burglar gets into my house, no fricking way am I waiting until I see the weapon to blast his arse to Hades.
